All communication is persuasion. There is no communication that is not persuasion. Every single time we open our mouths to talk, (even if it’s by ourselves) we are hoping to change somebody’s behavior (even our own).

How Is This Possible?

How does that help us?
 

Desire Implications

We don’t really think that if we buy that eight slice toaster it’s going to help us get laid. That would be silly. But we do have an instinctive craving for that sexy girl in the bikini. And that raw desire for her is subconsciously attached to the toaster, since it’s right next to her. We don’t consciously associate sex with a toaster (dangerous!), all we know is we want it more.
 
All of our desires are the same. On the surface, we attach them to things. We want food. We want sex. We want love. We want companionship. But take away those surface level “things” that our desire is attached to? And it can be attached to anything else. Because take away that stuff on the surface, and our raw desire is like an electrical charge on an atom shy a few electrons. It’s got to bond with something.
 

Simple Questions

Attach It To What?

This is the cool part. That raw desire underneath that surface “thing” they think it’s attached to is pure raw potential energy. Fungible energy. It can be attached to anything. That raw desire that they feel (once you take away the surface stuff they associate it with), is just BEGGING to be attached to something. Take a minute to think of the implications.

You can talk to anybody about anything they want, and take that underlying raw desire, and then attach it to anything YOU want.
