Stable Science
Einstein once said that the only laws that will not be later overturned are the laws of thermodynamics.
Meaning that chances are, if you went forward in time a few thousand years, what they think of as the “laws of science” might be completely different.
But, according to Einstein, the only laws that may never change are the laws of thermodynamics.
Which are very, very basic.
The first law is energy cannot be created nor destroyed.
Changed around, sure, but not created nor destroyed.
The second is entropy.
Which means that unless you keep putting energy into a system, that system will increase in disorder.
We have a ton of “order” or very LOW ENTROPY states here on Earth.
But that requires a consistent stream of MASSIVE energy from the sun.
Closed Systems
The universe, is a closed system.
Our planet, is a closed system.
Our economic system is a closed system.
Each individual body is a closed system.
Whatever happens inside a closed system will have SOME impact on all the other parts of the system.
The weather is a perfect example.
All the weather on the Earth impacts all the other weather on the Earth.
But for us humans, our brains are closed systems.
We operate in the world, and we gain new experiences every second.
And all those experiences that are created in our brain, interact with all the other memories in our brain.
Swirling Memories
Very subtly.
Very subconsciously.
There’s a metaphor that our conscious brain is the captain, and our subconscious brain is a ship.
This is true.
But there are two extremes to this metaphor.
One is that the ship is a tiny little motorboat.
What are the benefits of this motorboat model?
You can make changes VERY quickly.
But you can’t go very fast.
You can’t go very far.
This Way That Way
And because you CAN make quick changes, you do.
And end up going around in circles.
On the opposite extreme is the huge ship.
Tanker, air craft carrier, humongous cruise ship.
It takes FOREVER to make changes.
But if you calibrate the new direction well enough, those changes will take you very, very far.
This requires you KNOW where you want to go.
Motorboat brains have very short attention spans.
Aircraft carrier brains must have a high level of planning.
Motorboats can only carry a couple of people.
Gigantic battle ships can carry armies.
Consider this idea.
People are unconsciously attracted to battleship brain.
Very Compelling
Battleship brained people are the ones with BIG PLANS.
The one that can carry a LOT of people along with their plans.
Motorboat people?
These are the folks that drive around in circles saying:
“I dunno, where do you want to go?”
Build a battleship, warrior brain, and everybody will want YOU to lead THEM.
