Lot of people have a lot of trouble with movies.
Usually, based on their realism.
That they aren’t realistic.
Or “that wouldn’t happen.”
Is this really true?
Yes, this is really true.
Nearly ALL movies are UNREALISTIC.
One interesting “red pill” idea is to find whatever movies you want that are based on real people.
Not famous people.
When they make a movie about somebody famous, the actor has to LOOK LIKE the famous person.
But in movies that are based on true stories about NON famous real people, you’ll notice something interesting.
Compare the real people that the movie is based on, to the people who played the real people in the movie.
The real people the movie is based on will be normal, NON-GORGEOUS real people.
The actors will be good looking people.
That is ONE thing that is not realistic in pretty much EVERY movie.
Movie people LOOK BETTER than normal people.
The stories are also NOT REALISTIC.
Imagine all the characters from Shakespeare’s plays.
Shakespeare INVENTED tons of new words and even a few verb conjugations.
All that beautiful poetry the characters said up on stage is about as UNREALISTIC as you can get.
Did people back in Shakespeare’s day go home after the play and say:
Heck He Say?
That Hamlet dude was COMPLETELY unbelievable!
Nobody talks like that!
Consider this unhappy reframe.
Imagine some super rich, super stuck up, Instagram star.
She goes to a restaurant, orders food and looks at it with disgust.
This is NOT what I ordered!
This is TERRIBLE!
Do you know who I AM???!!!
Now imagine some regular dude or gal watching a regular movie.
And they REJECT the movie just like the Instagram lady rejected her food.
How DARE those movie people give me a story that doesn’t PERFECTLY fit into my brain!
How DARE those movie people require that I put in some effort to suspend my disbelief!
Consider that we CAN, if we want to, USE SOME BRAINPOWER of our own to enjoy any movie.
Consider also, just a little bit, this painful-to-the-ego idea, that movies are NOT supposed to validate the way WE think the world SHOULD be.
That we CAN if we want to, USE whatever is IN the movie for our inspiration.
Consider there are two kinds of people in the world.
With respect to the imagination part of our brain, and how we use it.
The first group DEMANDS the world deliver to them HIGH QUALITY imaginations that don’t require any effort or discomfort on their part.
These would be like the entitled Instagram dinner rejecters.
Then there are the people that don’t see their imagination powers as an anti boredom device.
They use their dreaming brain to find inspiration.
Inspiration to build a much better life.
Much better than sitting around and waiting for somebody else to do all the work.
