How you talk to a girl? Open your mouth and make some sounds come out.
Yea, I know, a bit tougher than that.
But here’s a basic outline that works pretty well. No lines to remember, high probability of success.
Keep in mind this is just an opener. Also keep in mind that girls are MUCH more interested in personality than guys are, so while she may seem attracted to you across the room, maybe not so much once you start talking to her.
The good news is that the more girls you talk to, the more self confidence you’ll have, which will dramatically increase your attractiveness. So each girl you talk to will not only make it easier, but it will make you more attractive.
But you already knew that.
Anyhow, here’s what you do.
Scan the room. Find a girl who’s approachable. (e.g. not with a group of guys). Look in her general direction. When she looks over at her, lock eyes with her and smile. Big natural, relaxed smile. Raise your eyebrows a bit, as if you’re saying “hey, what’s up?”
If she smiles back, you’re in.
Walk over, and say this:
“Hi, my names Jake. You seem like a nice person and I wanted to meet you. What’s up?”
You smiled, she s smiled, so she’s not going to feel like you approached her out of nowhere.
You walked up and said your name first, brave move.
You told her she “seemed” like a nice person. This is a label she’s going to want to keep, which means she won’t likely kick you in the nuts or throw a drink in your face.
Now you’ve done the toughest part. You’ve done what most guys are terrified of.
You’ve walked over, introduced yourself, and started a nice, friendly conversation.
