Much has been written about the meaning of life.
However, it’s really not so complicated. Well, it doesn’t HAVE to be complicated. But we humans tend to be pretty good at making a mess out of things.
One of the sources of confusion is that we live in a modern, exchange based society, but our caveman brains think we’re still living in a hunter / gatherer society.
We’ve got a collection of pre programmed instincts and desires, but unless we focus them with any degree of conscious thought, we might be chasing our tails our entire lives.
In the hunter gatherer society, there wasn’t much choice, and not much confusion. Food, safety, family, that was about it.
With so much choice of what to pursue, and how to pursue it, life can indeed become complicated.
Which is why choosing a few things, really big, important things, to pursue, will help remove the clutter from your mind, giving you that definiteness of purpose that makes life so much better.
Those that have pursued worthy goals with determined single mindedness tend to do a lot better than the rest of us who run around in circles without any clue of where we’re going.
The good news is that all it takes is choice, and action. Because are brains are basically learning machines, all we’ve got to do is choose a worthy destination for our lives, and get going.
Now, most people are afraid to get started, because they aren’t sure, or don’t know what to do, or don’t have a guarantee that they’ll succeed.
But those that have been doing this for a while know that our brains are pretty good at figuring stuff out as we go. And more definite your purpose is, the easier it will be do that.
One set of tools that can help is a system to explore and re-engineer your beliefs, so no matter what kind of “feedback” you get from reality, along your path to inevitable success, you’ll be able to flip it around in your favor.
Turning resistance into support, failure into opportunity, and uncertainty into a calm inner knowing.
