Lots of guys are always complaining about girls who flake. Meaning they say one thing, and then do another.
Some guys even go so far as to say girls are inherently untrustworthy, and no matter what she says, she’s not to be believed.
While I do believe that is a bit too harsh, I also feel that it’s the guys responsibility to set proper boundaries very early on in the relationship, and then simply eject when the boundaries are crossed.
Sure, some guys like to “prove” that they’re right and the girl is wrong. But this never works.
It’s much, much better to simply walk away from any blatant disrespect.
But this requires you be very clear in the beginning what your boundaries are.
This is the source of many problems.
Guys think that they’ve set their boundaries, or they somehow imagine that the girl is supposed to magically “know” what his boundaries are.
But unless you clearly define them with your actions, she won’t have a clue.
One of the biggest triggers to persuasion is scarcity. Whatever is scarce, we usually want more of, provided we have even the slightest bit of interest.
For example, if you’re standing at the counter at a fast food place, and wondering if you should get a burger, you might be much more motivated if you suddenly realize the prices are going to triple in the next five minutes.
This is a very, very powerful trigger, one that most guys never use.
How do you use it?
YOU be scarce. You make your time, your attention, your affection scarce. Not with lectures, or threats, or childish behavior.
Anything happens that you deem unacceptable? You leave. No shouting, no finger pointing, no shaming.
Just leave.
If she doesn’t get the message, she’s not worth your time.
But if she DOES get the message?
This will have an almost magical effect on your relationship. If she TRULY believes that you will get up and leave at the slightest scent of disrespect, AND she is genuinely attracted to you, she will NOT disrespect you.
In fact, she will go out of her way to NOT disrespect you.
The scarcity trigger is one of many. Many that when used together, will have her literally begging for your attention.
