Basic Ideas
What is a society?
A bunch of people connected economically, socially, philosophically, spiritually, and culturally.
But the driving force is economic.
If you don’t have food and energy, you can’t do much else.
Individually, and collectively.
An ideal society is pretty basic.
A ton of money making opportunities.
Tons of ways to apply your skills in a way that gets you money and appreciation in return.
People making and selling stuff to each other.
And all the supporting elements to help people stay in the game and prosper.
Education, health care, and plenty of recreation.
And of course, the kind of financial system that allows everybody to thrive.
All the stuff needed individually, and collectively, to live and participate in and thrive has been stuff we’ve been doing since forever.
Build Into Life
Everything you need to do to become a successful person is built in to your DNA.
Every kid knows how to take smaller things, and put them together into bigger and more complex things.
Otherwise they wouldn’t have invented things like Legos and Tinker Toys and train sets.
Every kid knows how to make friends.
When kids grow up they know how to make girlfriends and boyfriends.
And if you leave them alone long enough, they’ll make more people.
We all have a kind of “storytelling-narrative” instinct.
To slowly calibrate the spiritual side of life.
The “who we are” side.
And we all have a kind of “money instinct.”
Once, an economist watched his kids, and a bunch of other kids, trading candy after Halloween.
They started with straight barter.
Tootsie Roll Money
Then they “discovered” commodity money.
Tootsie rolls.
They would trade candy, based on it’s collective subjective value, inside that group of traders, for Tootsie rolls.
If it was a positively FANTASTIC kind of candy, like a full size snickers bar, that would get you a LOT of Tootsie rolls.
If it was a tiny bag of candy corn, not so many tootsie rolls.
So, what’s the point of this?
Everything you want out of life can be built with what is in your DNA.
Makings things, buying and selling things, creating relationships and participating in spiritual endeavors.
Already Inside
Nobody needs to teach you any of this.
So, if all this stuff is built into everybody, what’s holding us back?
Collection of ideas and beliefs that are INCORRECT, but we believe are true.
Ideas given to us by other people.
Other people who were projecting THEIR insecurities and frustrations onto us.
Blast away all these FALSE ideas, and do what you are meant to.
