Here’s something to try when you’re kind of on the border between easily making eye contact and approaching.
Unfortunately, the step by step process of getting more and more comfortable talking to cute girls isn’t exactly linear.
It may be easy for most guys to hold eye contact, and then move to holding eye contact and smiling, but actually walking up and starting a conversation may seem like a huge leap.
If you find that making eye contact and smiling is fairly easy, but you’re not quite ready to start approaching without any fear, then consider more aggressive eye contact.
Instead of just a normal smile, consider a Clark Gable type smile. This isn’t a leer, nor is it a passive glance. This is some guy who is totally confident in himself, looking at, and enjoying a gorgeous woman.
The scene I’m referring to is from Gone With The Wind, when the character Rhett Butler lays eyes on Scarlet for the first time.
Now, I know this is an old movie, but human attraction never changes.
Notice how he’s just standing there, looking at her, and enjoying her. He doesn’t flinch, he doesn’t worry about how she responds.
Kind of like being in a museum and looking at a Van Gogh. Just sit there, and look in awe at a thing of beauty.
You’re not asking for her number, you don’t care what kind of response you get. You’re just looking with as much boldness as you possibly can. You don’t care if you get “caught,” or if other folks look at you and look down on you.
Your attitude is, “Yes, I’m checking you out. I’m enjoying checking you out ,and I’ll continue to enjoy checking you out as long as you’re in my line of site. Damn you’re gorgeous.”
It’s your world.
Enjoy it, and everything in it.
