Having incredible verbal flexibility is one of the surest ways to succeed in life.
If you’ve got two guys arguing a point, more often than not, the guy that’s gonna win is not the guy with the greatest idea, or the best idea, or the most prosperous idea.
It’s the guy who can present his idea with the most verbal eloquence.
I often watch movies on Netflix, and while watching the movies I enjoy reading about them on the message boards at IMDB.com. One thing that’s pretty common is when you’ve got a movie who’s main characters are high school kids, they rarely talk like real high school kids.
In fact, these teenagers are spewing wisdom that most people would NEVER say in real life.
If you take the time to listen to people speak, you’ll hear plenty of half sentences, half baked ideas, a lot of “ums…” and “uhs…”
Even listing to the so called “leaders of the world” respond “in the moment” to unexpected questions shows how clueless most of us are with our verbal skills.
Bottom line is that most people communicate with very little intention, intelligence, or skill.
Which is when you make language one of the skills you’ll be developing in your life, you’ll have a HUGE edge over pretty much anybody.
This is something you can practice in as little as 5-10 minutes a day, and before long, you’ll be able to present even an average idea with the verbal eloquence that will make you sound like a frikking genius.
To get started, check out the language patterns in Objection Destruction. Originally designed for therapy, and later applied to sales, these verbal ninja skills will take you further than any four year degree from ANY college.
