Mother Nature is a genius.
Many people love the idea of “auto pilot.”
Spend any time online, looking for ways to make money, and you’ll find the phrase “auto pilot” all over the place.
Nobody likes the idea of going door to door and selling a variety of pots and pans to a variety of people.
Knock on the door, ask them what their favorite food is.
Then dig into your huge sack of pots and pans and find the perfect pan for that perfect food.
And THEN give them a unique sales pitch, based on their interests and food and that particular pan.
Not only would that be intellectually difficult, but it would be emotionally devastating!
That would be the WORST case sales situation.
The best case?

An auto pilot, set and forget, one push button system.
To automatically fill your bank account with a flood of cash every time you push the button.
We silly humans LOVE ideas like this.
Easy, brainless, automatic, make money while you sleep.
But, as I mentioned before, mother nature is WAY ahead of us.
You can think of our instincts as a kind of natural, auto pilot survival system.
Take hunger for example.
You don’t have to think about food.
You get hungry, and your ancient monkey brain does all your thinking for you.
Even better, we don’t need to think about WHAT to eat.
Macro Nutrient Detector
All our monkey brains need to know is if it tastes GOOD, eat as much as we can.
You don’t need to worry about the type of calories or macro nutrients or any of that stuff.
Of course, in modern times it’s kind of messed up.
From a pure survival, auto pilot system, SHE is a GENIUS.
Zero sarcasm in that sentence.
Same with physical attraction.
We evolved to be UNCONSCIOUSLY and IRRESISTIBLY attracted to people who had the BEST chance of propagating the species.
Brainless Replication
If you see somebody, and they make your heart skip a couple beats that’s all due to our auto pilot programming.
(Next time you get a boner, think of it as your “auto-pilot-species-propagation-recognition-signaling device”)
Ancient brains programmed with unavoidable instincts to keep us alive, and keeping us making copies of ourselves.
But Mother Nature is WAY smarter than that.
She created a ton of overlappingly pleasing instincts.
Like bees and flowers.
Bees don’t really have ANY idea that they are actually pollinating the flowers.
Adam Smith Instinct
They think they are getting FREE FOOD.
The flowers have NO IDEA they are giving away free food.
All they know is these buzzing things show up and do all the work.
You’ll find this type of overlapping, mutual pleasure EVERYBODY.
Particularly between humans.
When you buy something, it feels good.
When you sell something, it feels good.
When you make friends, it feels good.
When you fall in love, it feels good.
All because of Mother Nature’s sheer GENIUS.
To create all these wonderful, overlapping pleasurable relationships.
The WORST thing you can do is over think it.
This is something to be enjoyed, appreciated and MAXIMIZED.
