Hatching Nothing
One of the biggest problems of us humans is expectations.
The idea of counting your chickens before they hatch.
This idea is present in a kajillion different ways.
Of thinking you’re going to get something, and then making plans based on getting that something.
This is the kind thing, that if it gets too far out of hand, can destroy entire economies.
The most famous and kind of silliest case is the famous Dutch Tulip bubble.
Back during the 1600’s in Holland.
People started growing tulips.
This was the first time they ever saw tulips.
They got them after European countries started trading with far off countries.
Anyhow, tulips were really exotic looking flowers.
And pretty soon, the demand for tulips started to be much higher than the actual supply of tulips.
Get Rich Quick
So some professionals would start to professionally grow them, so they could later sell them.
And they would sell them LONG BEFORE they were ready.
For example, they’d have plans to plant, say 100 tulips.
Then they would pre-sell those tulips to buyers.
This is pretty common and still happens today.
But then people started re-selling these.
You’d have a piece of paper saying you had already paid for some tulips that would be ready in a couple of months.
So you could sell this “tulip paper” to somebody else.
Soon, the “secondary market” of tulip paper was flourishing.
Then people started to buy and sell options.
You could buy a piece of paper saying you had the right to buy some of that “tulip paper” at a certain price.
People were buying and selling all these tulip “derivatives” like crazy.
All based on plants that hadn’t been grown yet.
Like chickens that hadn’t hatched.
There was so much money invested in these tulips, that hadn’t been grown yet, that when this bubble popped, it crashed the entire economy.
The mathematics of this is EXACTLY like the panic of 2008.
People buying and selling paper based on paper that was based on the value of real estate.

So much he doesn’t expect ANYTHING.
He just enjoys the process.
He enjoys talking to gorgeous ladies and making them smile.
And so long as she’s into him as much as he’s into her, it’s all good.
