One of the biggest transitions you can make in life is from the adolescent mindset to an adult mindset.
This has been written about extensively, from gurus to religious leaders to metaphysical experts.
But the gist is pretty much the same.
When we are children, we look out into the world and see what we can get. We express ourselves, and we hope to receive something as a result.
It’s easy to see how this develops. As young children, all we need to do is cry out, and we get our needs met. We don’t really supply anything in return, at least not consciously.
Then, as fully formed adults, everything is based on exchange. If we want something, we’ve got to give something.
Anybody who moves through life expecting free stuff, just because, is going to be disappointed.
But this cold hard fact of reality doesn’t make it any easier. Making the transition is one that most people never fully accomplish.
In a book on human development, written by a prominent Catholic priest who’d heard literally tens of thousands of confessions, the author noted that virtually all of our problems stem from the fact that we haven’t yet grown up.
We try to operate in a world filled with people that aren’t related to us, but try to use the same strategy to get what we want as if we were still at home with our family.
This is why the language patterns of covert and conversational hypnosis are so powerful.
Since everybody’s out there talking about “me me me,” when you come along and really do listen to them, and pay attention to what they are saying, you are suddenly perceived as very different from everybody else.
Because when you use these patterns, which are purposely vague, people will have to fill in the blanks with their own experiences.
And the great paradox of human communication is, the more you focus solely on them, the more charismatic and magnetic you’ll appear to them, which will cause them to subconsciously want to help you get whatever you want.
Meaning that by using these patterns, and getting out of your head and focusing on them, you’ll find more and more people start to spontaneously help you get what you want.
