Subjective Humans
One old classical move is the Japanese, “Rashomon.”
Some event happens and the authorities are called in.
The authorities talk to different witnesses and they all give different stories.
There’s been a few others like this.
This is a very believable movie since we ALL have different perspectives.
An experiment was done once at a college.
A bunch of people were watching a lecture.
A “criminal” ran in and “stole” something from the table in front.
Then “police” came by and questioned everybody.
People’s stories about what happened were all over the place.
Just like in the movie.
Nobody Is Objective
Our world view is VERY subjective.
It takes a lot of brainpower to be NOT subjective, or purely objective.
Our whole idea of who we are is based on stories about things we can barely remember.
Our “description” or feeling of our personalities is a collection of stories and metaphors.
Just like the narrative of any group of people is a collection of stories and metaphors.
And stories and metaphors exist in the land of make believe.
This is why it’s possible for us humans to have tons of origin stories.
Go to any country, visit any culture, and ask them what their “origin story” is and you’ll a different answer for each one.
Get to know somebody well enough to understand their description of their origin story and you’ll get ton of different for each person.
When you become a master of metaphors, you become a master of life.
A master of the human brain.
A master of human desires and fears.
When you can speak the language of metaphors, you can speak to people in a way they will feel.
All Levels
Emotionally, subconsciously, and even spiritually.
Just the act of patiently asking and listening to the origin stories of others will put you in your own category in their brain.
Those who can think and feel and behave and communicate on the metaphorical level see things others can’t even dream of.
Up on top, we have words that are filtered through our very limited human consciousness.
Deep down below, we have our ancient feelings and yearnings and desires that are almost never satisfied.
In between is the rich world of metaphors.
The stuff of dreams and imaginations.
Communicate with them on this level, and you will create bonds more quickly and deeply than they’ve ever felt before.
Which means YOU will be living in their dreams and desires and fantasies.
