Unscheduled Library Visit

I went to the library the other day, not planned, I was just passing by this place.

I had found this really cool website a couple days ago about all the different things you could make with those tubes of raw dough.

But I couldn’t remember this, I couldn’t find this website that had all these recipes.

Hey Look! A Library!

Since I was passing by the library, I decided to see if they had any recipe books that explained how to use tubes of fresh dough for different things.

While I was wandering around the library trying to find the secret recipe book, I noticed the librarian was watching me very carefully.

Right when I walked in she decided to look at me carefully.

Paying Attention

For some reason she wanted to pay close attention to what I was doing.

I went downtown the other day and I saw this street preacher.

I’ve seen him a few times, and he’s usually got a relatively small crowd, not really watching, just kind of walking past kind of slowly.

Different Place Every Time

He’s always in a different spot, I’ve never really stopped to pay attention to this guy, but for some reason, this guy locked eyes with me.

He looked at me and said, if you don’t give your soul to Jesus you will suffer unimaginable and eternal anguish.

There’s this really cute, kind of bubbly woman in this coffee shop I go to sometimes.

Either Way Is Win Or Lose

You never know in that kind of situation.

On the one hand, you want to ask her out since you’re getting all kinds of positive signals.

On the other hand, if she’s just being friendly, and you are misreading this you might ruin a good thing.

But unless you try, you’ll never know.

So I asked her out and she immediately lit up like a Christmas tree and said yes.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

So I’m thinking, wow, I should have done this sooner.

While I was trying to figure out where to take her, she suggested I go to church with her.

Which, of course, flipped my mood.

Um… Church?

I went from thinking it was going to be an easy in to going to church.

I was downtown and I saw this homeless woman that I’ve seen a few times.

She’s always by herself, she’s always sitting with an empty coffee cup in front of her.

For some reason I decided to give her some money.

And when I leaned in to drop the bill into her cup, she reached up and grabbed my wrist, and looked directly in my eyes.

Snatched My Attention

It was like she reached out with her energy and grabbed my brain.

I realized at that point I’d never made eye contact with her.

I’d never looked into her eyes.

I’m not sure happened, but I heard her speak, but I’m positive her lips weren’t moving.

This Voice Is In Your Mind

The voice was just in my mind.

I don’t remember leaning down by I was nose to nose with her.

Her eyes were clear, intelligent, and very, very intense.

These eyes were filled with an unmistakable clarity of intention.

Something Is Coming

She looked me and said, “Something is coming.”

Something very bad is coming.

You suspect this, but you are afraid to think this.

You know this, but you are unwilling to understand this.

You sense this, but you are terrified of accepting this.

On Your Way Now

She let go and next thing I knew I was walking down the street.

I decided to go to church with her, just to see, you never know right?

As soon as I walked in, my feeling suddenly shifted polarity again.

I knew this was going to be a very positive experience.

Goldmine Of Ladies

80% of the congregation was young, very attractive women.

The preacher came out and this guy had a ton of charisma.

All the girls were looking at this guy with a look of total adoration and admiration.

Like they wanted to do everything that this guy suggested.

You Gotta Love Jesus

And the preacher kept talking how important it was to love Jesus.

How important it was to surrender to Jesus.

How important it was to be obedient to Jesus.

Study This Guy

All I could think of was that I wanted to study this guy.

To learn everything I could from this guy.

I even started to forget the girl I came with.

I looked at him and my mind kind of slipped.

Nice To Meet You

He came up and shook my hand, and I asked him why he was on a different corner every week.

He told me that getting a permit was really difficult.

That if you wanted to be a street preacher you had to have deep connections with city hall.

City Hall and Jesus Don’t Mix

Which kind of defeats the purpose.

She came up to me and asked me what I was looking for.

I told her about my quest for the tube of fresh dough recipe book.

She smiled and said, “I know exactly what you need.”
