All Lies!
A lot of guys have a very similar “red pill” experience.
Red pill is generally a negative term.
But it absolutely shouldn’t be.
Red pill supposedly means finding out how the world “really” works.
From the Matrix.
Neo thought he was a regular dude living a regular life.
But then he took the red pill.
And realized everything was computer generated and he was stuck in a matrix.
For non-movie ideas, this can be very comforting.
That we are living in a matrix.
Why?
Not My Fault
Well, for some, it means they don’t have to try, since the world is stacked against them.
There’s always some “higher power” conspiring to keep them down.
Maybe, maybe not.
But take away the ideas about any matrixes, and what does “red pill” really mean?
It means understanding how the world works.
The way it REALLY works.
This is a beautiful thing.
Why?
Let’s say you operate within the world to get your needs met.
Money, love, status etc.
But you don’t quite understand the rules.
Then you take the red pill.
Better Operator
Which makes you understand the rules.
Now, which would be better, to get the stuff you want.
Not knowing the rules, or knowing the rules?
The more you understand the system, the more you can operate within that system to get whatever you want.
Now, back to that common, red pill experience.
Guys watch a movie.
The movie is essentially an ideal love story.
Guys go out into the world.
And try and replicate that ideal love story.
But it doesn’t work.
Then they get angry.
“I’ve been lied to!”
“Life doesn’t work like in the movies!”
No Kidding
Uh, yeah, no kidding.
Movies represent an IDEAL.
Things that we WISH were true.
Everybody watches those same ideal love stories and thinks the same thoughts:
“I wish that would happen to me!”
This is the wrong response.
If your main strategy of living a happy if is waiting around for something to “happen” to you, you’ll be waiting a while.
Instead, consider those ideal romance movies as a kind of ideal life.
One that you can create.
To move closer to every single day.
By improving as many skills as you can.
But getting as many experiences as you can.
By filling your brain with experiences so you’ll do better next time.
Let all the other goofballs sit around and wait for something to “happen” to them.
