Weird Oven Hack
My friend called me a few days ago.
She said she’d discovered a magic baking trick with her oven.
She said it wasn’t a kind of goofy hack, that it was real magic.
So I went over to her house.
She made me watch every step so I wouldn’t think she was pulling a fast one.
She even made he inspect her oven to make sure it didn’t have any trick doors or anything.
Single Layer Vanilla Cake
She made a basic vanilla cake batter.
Then she poured it into a single cake pan.
Four inches high, eight inches across.
And just before she put it into an oven she’d pre-heated to 375 degrees, she plopped a big scoop of chocolate ice cream into the cake batter.
Then she put it in the oven and made me stand there for thirty minutes while we watched the cake bake.
Halloween Horror Maze
There is this Halloween type maze that is open year round.
Even though they promise not to touch you, they make you sign a waver that you won’t sue.
It’s based on mirrors and sounds, both acoustic and subacoustic.
They even have a clinical psychologist who hypnotizes you before you go into the maze to extract your deepest, most terrifying fears.
Come Out Better
This is kind of marketed as a safe, but absolutely terrifying way of getting rid of your fears.
But what they are doing there is far, far, more insidious.
I have these really weird friends.
They are all advanced practitioners of the occult, particularly the art of mental based teleportation.
Teleportation Contest
Every few months of so, they have a kind of teleportation contest.
It’s time dependent, and they all wear a watch that is synchronized to a central clock.
And they stand hang out in this guys’ basement, and take turns.
When it’s your turn, a location and a common item will appear on the computer screen.
Go and Come Back
Whoever’s turn it is has to immediately teleport to that location, usually a city in a foreign country and teleport back with the common item.
This is pretty easy, and it’s not the main reason for the competition.
I met this lady in a hypnosis seminar a few weeks ago.
Demon Invitation
She said she was attempting to build a device to make your brain much more open to spiritual and even demonic possession.
It turns out that there are a lot of thrill seeker types in the occult-hypnosis community.
Kind of like how normal people go skydiving, free climbing and base jumping, these types prepare their brain for non-human possession.
Her machine, which she hopes to one day sell, is supposed to not only open up your brain for demonic or alien possession, but to raise your consciousness while you are possessed, so you can more fully enjoy the experience.
Keep Your Brain On
Most of the time when you get possessed by demons, aliens or spiritual parasites, you are unconscious the whole time so you can’t really enjoy it.
Her device is allegedly going to allow you to be possessed by experience what it’s like to have the consciousness of a demon, or alien or spiritual parasite.
The machine is based on tarot cards, certain candles and subacoustic sounds.
Each tarot card flashes for 1/3 of a second, cycling through all 78 in 26 seconds.
She’s still working out the bugs, but I volunteered to beta test it when she had a working prototype.
Stuck In Europe
The fun happens when the clock runs out.
When they teleport, the aren’t allowed to bring any ID, money, or credit cards.
It’s kind of like musical chairs.
If you are off in a foreign city trying to collect the item, and the time runs you have to make your way back using regular methods.
This is why they only have this game every few months.
It often takes that long for people to make their way back.
They usually have to use their occult skill to make money doing magic on the street.
Then once they have enough money saved up, they have to bribe their way onto a cargo ship, since they don’t have any ID.
People Copying
What they are really doing is making clones.
It turns out that when somebody is in a state of deep and utter horror, their DNA is charged up.
They still don’t know why this is, but when your DNA is charged up, it’s very easy to copy it remotely.
So far, this Halloween maze house has a few thousand clones they’ve created from their maze customers.
Looking for Investors
They still don’t have a way to monetize the clones, but they are making a profit anyway, since they charge such a high entrance fee.
The suspicion is they are going to sell these organs of the clones on the black market.
If they do this, then each clone is worth between $50,000 and $100,000.
Ta Daaa!
When she pulled the cake out, after we’d been standing their trying to maintain a conversation, I didn’t see anything magical.
She put in vanilla cake batter and pulled out a vanilla cake.
But then she took the cake out of the pan, and cut the cake in half.
The chocolate ice cream was still frozen in the middle of the cake.
I have no idea how she did this, as there is no scientific explanation.
But as soon as she cut the cake, the ice cream started melting.
She said she’s tried this plenty of times.
The Invention Nobody Wants
And no matter how long, or what temperature, the ice cream won’t start melting until the cake is cut.
I told her that, unfortunately, this wouldn’t be a very popular party trick.
As most people, when they eat cake and ice cream, don’t like their ice cream to touch their cake.
