Old College Friend
I have a friend from college that lives just north of San Diego. He lives in a small town. I forget the name. I went to visit him recently.
The downtown area has fallen on hard economic times. Most of the shops are closed up, out of business. But there is one row of shops that seemed to have seen this coming and have prepared.
There’s a small knick knack shop. A palm reader, and a psychic. I guess they were able to predict the downturn. I guess a couple decades ago they made some kind of deal with city hall.
Dudes Planned Ahead
They bought their shops, they bought the land, and they don’t need to pay any property tax. They just hang out. If they get customers fine, if not, not big deal. The only thing they need to pay is the electric bill.
I knew this guy in Japan whose dream was to open his own shop. But in Japan, people open their own shops to free themselves from always being told what to do.
In Japan, the zoning laws, property taxes and pretty much everything is different. So when you buy a shop, you own it, and you don’t really care of customers come in or not. It’s a way to escape the system.
Shop Recommendation
I went to this one shop a long time ago. I was told by a friend to check it out. She didn’t tell me why, or what would happen, but I trust her.
I walked in and there was nothing. Only some stairs doing down to a basement. If it was anybody else, I would have fled. But since I trust her, I went down.
There was an old woman sitting behind a table. She smiled and said she’d been expecting me. She motioned for me to have a seat, and I did.
Give Me Your Hand
She motioned for my hand, and I gave it to her. She took my left hand, and put the thumb of her right hand in the center of my palm.
It was the most relaxing, most comfortable energy I ever felt.
I half closed my eyes, not sure what was happening, just enjoying the process.
Then a few minutes later she let go, and I was sad.
It reminded me when you get your hair cut, and they give you a scalp massage while they wash your hair.
Sad When It’s Over
It feels good, but when they stop you’re kind of sad this is over.
I asked her what now?
She said tonight, you will have a dream.
Coming In Your Dreams
And in your dream an entity will visit you. Talk to you.
This is an entity you can build a relationship. But it will take time.
You will need to remember your dreams from now on.
If you can remember this entity, and build a relationship with this entity, you will learn great things.
Cultivate This Relationship
You will gain great and profitable insights for as long as you cultivate this relationship.
I used to buy ibuprofen from this guy in Taiwan.
He would always be in the back, just relaxing and watching TV.
He had a bunch of glass bottles filled with all kinds of drugs.
Go To Pain Guy
I’d buy ibuprofen, and he’d wrap them up in this paper envelope.
Then he’d go back to chilling in the back, with his fan and his TV.
He always seemed happy. That he liked his simple life as a shopkeeper.
One guy on that street doesn’t sell anything. He just sits there and reads the paper.
Paper Man
But he comes in Monday through Saturday, 9 to 6, just like a regular job.
If you build your business on debt, and the flow of customer stop, you are in trouble.
But if you own your business, all you need to do is pay for electricity.
