Words are very powerful.
 
Or at least they can be.
 
For most, words aren’t something to think about.
 
We have a bunch of half baked ideas, and spit out a bunch of sounds.
 
To the extent that others can understand our ideas, we’re pretty good.
 
But words can be far, far more powerful than haphazardly described thoughts.
 
Words have been used to change the course of history.
 
Particularly written words.
 
It’s one thing to have a lot of stage game.
 
To have a commanding stage presence.
 
To give a fiery speech that will generate action from the crowd.
 
To buy things, to join movements, to attack the castle.
 

Written Words Are Timeless

But powerfully written words can move minds across generations.
 
This is one of the things that woke up Europe from the Dark Ages.
 
Muslim traders brought, among other things, ancient texts from Greece and Rome.
 
One of the main causes of the reformation was the re-discovery of the Bible in it’s original Greek.
 
After the fall of Rome, and with it written material, the only information was kept alive by the monks.
 
Writing and re-writing the same stuff over and over.
 
But once medieval scholars got a hold of the original texts from Greece, everything changed.
 
The words gave them insights into the minds of some of the greatest philosophers who ever lived.
 
Well written words about carefully thought ideas can change entire cultures.
 
A well written document can survive for thousands of years and still stir hearts.
 
But even if you don’t to be famous for centuries, you can still make yourself a lot of money.
 
If you were a decent speaker, for example, you give the same, well calibrated speech.
 
Over and over.
 
And make a ton of money each time.
 

Passive Income Stream

But if you can write well?
 
Once a sales letter is released, you don’t need to do much.
 
One of the best sales letters ever written was for the Wall Street Journal.
 
A simple story about two guys.
 
Everything about them was the same.
 
Background, education, intelligence, upbringing, spouse, social circle.
 
But one guy had access to information.
 
The other guy didn’t.
 
The guy with access to information was far, far wealthier than the other guy.
 
He was able to use this information to make himself a fortune.
 
If you wanted to live the laptop lifestyle, make the world your playground, few other skill sets can take you there..
