Reclaim Your Gift
What is your best asset?
What if your best asset was something you didn’t know you had?
Something that was kept from you.
Not on purpose, but by a random collection of events.
Events run by outside agents.
All of which are going after their own interests.
Everybody goes after their own interest.
Going after your own interests is not wrong or bad.
It is a very powerful, very necessary survival trait.
In fact, you might say that NOT going after your own interests is immoral and downright evil.
OK, so maybe that might be too extreme.
But consider that if you constrained yourself by ONLY going after your own interests if there was some kind of overlap with somebody ELSE’S own interests?
This is Adam Smith’s idea.
The butcher, baker, etc. don’t do what they do out of benevolence.
They do what they do because they want to get paid.
But they can ONLY get paid if they do the work FIRST of making something other people will hopefully buy.
And when those other people decide to buy, they are NOT being nice to the butcher.
They WANT that bacon MORE than they want their money.
They are motivated to BUY BACON based on their own selfish desires.
The bacon man is motivated to SELL BACON based on his or her own selfish desires.
But since this is an instance of OVERLAPPING selfishness, both people are happy after the fact.
Two selfish people come together and make a trade.
Two selfish people are BETTER OFF after the exchange.
Two selfish people look at each other and they BOTH say:
For myself, I LIKE bacon.
When I buy bacon I feel BETTER when the bacon guy gives me my bacon.
He feels BETTER when I give him my money.
Problems happen when your selfish interests are NOT overlapping.
But AT THE EXPENSE of others.
Which is what is happening with all these outside “agents” that are KEEPING your greatest gift from you.
Hidden right there in plain sight.
What IS your greatest gift?
Your thinking brain.
Your dreaming brain.
Your planning brain.
Your creative brain.
Nearly EVERYBODY today outsources nearly ALL their thinking.
When the slightest bit of uncertainty, people panic.
“Google, I’m hungry, what should I eat???”
This is a horrible metaphor, but here we go.
Hunger is an instinct.
You can manage your hunger, and control it.
Or you can be a SLAVE to your hunger.
Now imagine somebody that you might see out and about.
Somebody where you look at them and say to yourself:
“Damn, dude, they have voluntarily surrendered in the fight against their hunger instinct.”
Yes, this is not nice.
Some some people have reasons for giving up the good fight.
But that’s not the point.
Imagine somebody now, who has clearly given up the fight.
Where they have a legitimate reason or not, their body is clearly in BAD SHAPE.
Now for the money shot.
If you outsource your thinking to TV, moves, social media, if you need Google to help you answer questions, your BRAIN is in as bad a shape as their BODY.
Mind Persuasion has plenty of books and courses to teach you how to speak hypnotically and persuasively.
