One Chasing The Other
The Yin Yang idea is a interesting concept.
It’s sometimes mistakenly believed to be a static thing.
Like if you were to go to an acupuncturist, they might tell you your “yin and yang” is out of balance.
But based on those who study mythology, yin and yang are NEVER in balance.
But they are never out of balance.
There is a physical origin story to this.
And a bunch of metaphorical applications to this.
And sometime these metaphorical applications are pretty accurate, sometimes they aren’t.
As it generally is with mythological and spiritual ideas.
Anyhow, what are the physical origins?
Night turns into day.
Day turns into night.
Winter flows into summer (through spring) which flows through into winter (through fall).
The time to plant, and the time to harvest.
Even the symbol, the swirly white and black parts, with the two dots are based on physical entities.
It was derived way back in 600 BCE by tracing the height of the sun over a solar year.
A year long sundial.
If you check where you live, longitude and latitude, and looked up sunrise and sunset times over the year, it would be a nice sine wave.
Mapped out over a circle, you get the yin yang symbol.
So this “light” and “dark” idea, that is derived from the orbit of the sun around the moon, and our tilted axis, creates another circle.
One gigantic circle system (sun, earth, tilted axis) creates another circle system.
Because life evolved in this “light-dark,” “summer-winter” system there are bound to be plenty of similar cycles flowing into each other.
Angels and devils, good and evil, order and disorder, etc.
But some are asymmetric.
Day and night are equal.
Even the days that mark the changes of the seasons have “equal” in the name.
“Equinox” means “equal night” or “day time length = night time length.”
These are symmetric.
Which ones are “asymmetric?”
The ones that involve organizations.
Groups of animals are often ordered by hierarchy.
Which means there only needs to be a few leaders and a whole bunch of followers.
Which means inside EVERYBODY has a follower-leader distribution.
Meaning MOST people are mostly followers, rarely leaders.
And for most of history, the leaders didn’t really “choose” to be leaders.
And opportunity “presented itself” and they took advantage of it.

But if you shift your filters just a bit, you’ll see there is ALWAYS opportunities presenting themselves.
Every time you around other people, for example.
Few people are ever satisfied.
Few people are ever confident they can be leaders of others.
This is the NORMAL situation.
Which means the NORMAL situation is a group of lost souls looking for a leader.
Why not you?
