Emotional Logic
According to psychologists, the human brain is wired for subconscious logic with emotional inputs.
This means that we think we think logically, but in reality this is a hallucination.
Even more interesting is we all think we are the logical ones, but everybody is driven by irrational emotions.
Kite Flyer
Ben Franklin famously said the only things in life that are certain is death and taxes.
Everybody dies, and from only a brief study of large state run societies, taxation has always been part of society.
Sometimes they call it tribute, sometimes they confiscate wealth from neighboring states, but in all societies since the dawn of time, the elites and nobles have lived off wealth productivity of the masses.
We’re No. One!
Most people believe their own country and culture is unique.
But a study of big history indicates that all large civilizations are much more similar than dissimilar.
One of commonalities is the idea that all civilizations believe they are descended from the gods, or similar supra human entities.
Lately a theory has postulate that it is actually possible for this to have been true.
Mental Powers
But instead of a society based on agricultural based energy extraction, it was a society founded wholly on mental energy.
However, despite it being completely based on mental energy, the structure of all agricultural societies were the same.
There were the upper class elites, who lived off the mental energy of the lower classes.
Lower class people were tasked with thinking for up to twelve hours a day, while needing to pay the state up to 40% of their mental output.
We’re Here To Collect
Sometimes, when their mental capacity was inefficient, agents of the state would show up and demand more.
If the peasant didn’t provide enough mental energy, they would be tortured via target terror implantation.
Often, the peasants died from this mental torture.
But the philosophy of the state was that murder was necessary to maximize the intellectual output of the lower classes.
Anarchistic Endings
As all societies after them, they eventually collapsed into anarchy.
The upper class became too corrupt.
The lower classes mounted a rebellion and collectively enforced random acts of telepathically induced agony on the upper classes.
Since all their trade and economic activity was based purely on mental energy, they didn’t leave any written records.
Top Down Collapse
Historians will be the first to explain how the collapse of every large civilization since the neolithic revolution was due to corruption.
Particularly how the elites continued to raise and misuse taxes.
So not only is the death of individuals inevitable, as Franklin suggested, but the death of large civilization is also inevitable.
Paradoxically, the main thing that causes the death of civilization is taxes.
Taxes And Death
And in those ancient civilizations, if you didn’t pay your taxes you were killed.
Death and taxes may be paradoxically more intertwined than Franklin intended to convey.
Everybody believes that they are logical while everybody else is illogical.
One can only conclude that human logic, based on the collective opinion of everybody is impossible.
Irrational Based Logic
It seems we have a logical bias to make us believe we have a logical, defensible reason for doing irrational and illogical acts.
Even more peculiar, is despite our assurances in our own logic, if most people took a class in formal logic, we would all fail.
