There was this guy who lived a long, long time ago. He had supposed magical powers.
People would slip into a trance just by looking at him. There are some that say he was able to tap some ancient secret of animal magnetism.
Others say he was one of the early practitioners of what we call hypnosis. That he was using advanced language patterns and techniques to get people to forget about what they were thinking about, and just focus on the present moment.
I’m sure you’ve heard of him. Or if not him, the verb that is named after him.
You’ve got to be a wicked individual to get a verb named after you.
Anyhow, plenty of people suspect his secret was his ability absolutely shrug off any worries of the past, or the future.
And just concentrate on the present with every ounce of his mental and emotional energy.
He would look at people with incredible, laser like focus, which of course was too much for some folks.
Most of us are used to our brains bouncing all over the place, while talking to others whose brains are also bouncing all over the place.
If anyone were able to just quiet all the mental chatter, and focus on the person sitting right in front of you, you’d be able to stand out like a magnetic beacon of hope in a world filled with scatter brained robots.
Developing this power is easy. It’s not automatic, but with practice, you can easily cultivate a huge sense of presence in any situation.
Just practice on the here. The now. Forget about the past. It’s largely a hallucination anyhow.
The future? It’s not here yet. It will come when it’s ready.
When you can combine your ability to focus on the now, with the language patterns of covert and conversational hypnosis, you’ll elicit feelings in others that they’ve never felt before.
Feelings of pure energy, hope, love and positive expectation.
