Try Again
One cool movie, that seemed to be a “one of a kind,” at least back when it came out, was Groundhog Day.
Some guy got stuck in a time loop.
Same thing happened every day.
But each time through, he would improve his behavior.
By the end, he was the most famous dude in town.
Even though he was an out-of-town reporter.
Movies themselves are made the same way.
Particularly the dialogue.
I read about one director-writer to talked about writing a script.
He said he rewrote on key part of the dialogue about fifty times.
And then the actors rehearse their lines just as often.
And they frequently need many takes.
Perfected Lines
So by the time normal folks like us see the movie, the cool sounding lines have been put through the ringer a kajillion times.
Compare this to normal people who speak in jumbled sentences to describe half baked ideas.
Imagine if you had a kind of superpower.
A Groundhog Day superpower.
You’re talking to a pretty lady.
You say something, and she responds.
But you’re not quite sure how to respond to her response.
So you pull out your Groundhog Day super powers.
You freeze the current timeline, and create another one.
And in this other timeline, you can practice all kinds of different lines and reframes etc.
Ideal Language
Until, through trial and error, you get the perfect one.
Then you go back to the normal timeline, start it up again, and deliver the goods.
Of course, she’s impressed.
What kind of things would this superpower do for your social life?
Your business life?
Your sales and persuasion life?
Your public speaking life?
Quite a bit.
You’d soon be recognized as the most compelling speaker of all time.
You’d be famous on YouTube and all over mainstream TV.
The best interview person they’ve ever had.
Mayor Of Earth
You could even be the ideal politician.
Just game out ever decision a few times in a parallel dimension.
Every decision would be perfect.
Every spoken sentence would be ideal.
Of course, this is just a fantasy, right?
This would never happen, right?
Maybe it can.
If you practice lucid dreaming enough, every night can be a rehearsal for a better life.
Playtime
Every night you drift down into sleep, you’ll enjoy the entire night playing in your own private holodeck.
What would that do for you?
