We live in a time of massive technological advances.
Some of the stuff that is coming in the near future is even better.
Most of us would not enjoy living a thousand years ago with no electricity, no penicillin, and much shorter life expectancies.
There is a troubling trend that allows wealthy parents to use advanced genetic technology to create the ideal offspring.
Chinese Have A Head Start
So far, this is only legal in China, but it’s only a matter of time before this becomes legal everywhere.
Essentially, you get as many eggs from the woman as possible, and fertilize all of them.
Then use genetic technology to pick the best ones.
It’s easy to see how this can, over ten or twenty generations, create two distinct classes of humans, far beyond what people imagine today.
Tech Disaster Magazine
I read this article in a fringe scientific magazine, about all the terrible ways people could misuse scientific technology.
There were talking about what would happen of they created a prehistoric wasp.
The kind that lays its eggs inside mammals, and uses these mammals as a host, a living incubator.
There has been some recent developments in time travel.
One Way Travel
So far, they can only transport inorganic matter.
And it turns out they can only go one direction.
They open a window between now and before.
It has to be done inside of a temporarily generated plasma torus, similar to the ones used for fusion reactors.
But since they are connected a small, self contained bubble of present time to past time, this only allows for a one way flow.
Reverse Time Impossible
Going back in time is still impossible.
But they’ve managed to open up portals to distant times in the past, to allow time to flow forward much quicker.
Because entropy is much lower in the past, much lower than now, it creates a very large entropy differential.
This means the flow of time is hard to manage, hence the need for the plasma torus.
But some believe these experiments should be stopped immediately.
In the past, there have been five large scale extinction events.
It’s believed that the atmosphere in those extinction events was extremely toxic.
Extinction Event Creation
The fear is that since they can’t really calibrate the time of the opening of the entropy portal, the might inadvertently tap into a very toxic inorganic environment.
And if they happen to tap into a very toxic past, and it happens to have an entropy pressure differential larger that the plasma torus, it might not be closable.
This, of course, would lead to an extinction event.
Because these experiments are being done on an artificial island in international waters and is being funded by anonymous sources, there’s not much the authorities could do.
Wasp Killers
One potential way to weaponize the ancient wasps would be to unleash them in an enemy country.
The thinking is these wasps would naturally see humans as natural incubators.
And they would seek the softest parts of the humans through which to lay their eggs.
Scientists postulate this would through the eye, and into the frontal lobe.
As the wasp larvae hatched, they would feed on your frontal lobe until they reached maturity, at which time they would exit both your eyes.
This, of course, would be experienced as a month of insanity, with horrific and painful hallucinations, followed by blindness and likely death.
New Elite Generator
If any couple waited for three years, that would yield 36 eggs.
36 eggs would be able to choose at least two standard deviations above average for desired traits, like intelligence, and physical attractiveness.
After 10 or 20 generations, this would lead to essentially two classes of humans.
One top tier class, of super intelligent, super attractive, and super wealthy, and then everybody else.
Of course, the wealthy intelligent class would be like Earth’s new nobility, and the rest would essentially be the labor, or the food.
Thousand Year Tech
In a thousand years, technology will no doubt advance quite a bit.
So much that those who are alive in a thousand years, and those who have access to the latest technology will look back to now and wonder how we could have survived with under such horrible conditions.
Of course, but that time, the vast majority may be living even less well off that most people live today.
And only the genetically modified, wealthy and hyper intelligent elite would have access to this new technology.
Primitive Human Theme Parks
They may even create theme parks where we ancient humans survive by fighting, killing and eating each other.
And the elites can float around in their protected, invisible vehicles and watch us lower class primates unknowingly entertain them.
