Sneak Inside
The human ego is a hard thing to let go of.
It’s very close to the metaphor of the devil.
That the devil’s greatest trick is convincing people he doesn’t exist.
The ego is very similar.
The ego is very closely related to the idea of “me.”
The ego is very, very necessary.
To always remind you to let everybody know that you exist.
That you are worthy.
That you are worth paying attention to.
But sometimes, the ego can get in the way.
Just like hunger or lust or overly worrying about social signals from others can get in the way.
Like all our other instincts, they worked perfectly back in the day, but today can mess us up.
Our ego is the same.
Sometimes it’s best to just pull back and let others take credit.
Particularly if this is a strategic move.

Dale Carnegie is famous for saying that “you can get anybody to do anything so long as they believe it was their idea.”
This absolutely will not happen if you NEED to assert yourself into the mix.
But if you can manage to turn off your ego just a bit, you can use some very powerful language patterns.
Particularly the embedded commands.
Hidden directives inside sentences.
For example, imagine you had a magic wand.
And you would wave your magic wand and command people to do things.
And the people would immediately obey.
Buy my product.
Give me your phone number.
Fall in love with me.
Dream about me.
Fantasize about me.
What would life be like with these kinds of skills?
Deep Influence
The embedded command isn’t as magical, but it is as powerful.
It takes a little bit of practice, but it’s one very powerful tool.
To take five commands or so, and sprinkle them throughout the conversation.
So they’ll start to subconsciously act on the commands.
And because you’re keeping a tight lid on your ego, they’ll truly believe it is their idea to do those things.
Many people are surprised how powerful these are once they start to use them.
A lot of folks start to brainstorm how many different ways they can use them once they discover how versatile they are.
A short, simple linguistic structure with an incredible amount of persuasive power.
Like a magic bullet of mind control you can carry around with you in your back pocket.
