Two Kinds Of People
There are plenty of ways to look at things.
Plenty of simple categories to put things into.
Pretty people and non pretty people.
Tall people and short people.
Perhaps one of my favorites is the famous line at the end of “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.”
Where Clint Eastwood’s character, “The Man With No Name,” said to Tuco, his sort of partner.
They were just about to find the gold they’d been looking for, when Tuco realized the The Man with No Name had secretly taken the bullets from Tuco’s gun.
Then Clint’s character pointed his loaded gun at Tuco and said:
“There are two kinds of people in the world. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.”
You might say this metaphorically describes the entirety of human civilization.
Masters and servants.
Those who hold the power, and those who do the work.
This is a pretty bleak viewpoint.
Receiving And Providing
I prefer another distinction.
One that gives us, as individuals, a lot more choice.
Children and adults.
This is particularly insightful when you look at this distinction in terms of our ancient ancestors.
When life was harsh.
Children consumed MORE than they produced.
Adults produced MORE than they consumed.
The more ALPHA you were, the more you produced IN EXCESS of what you consumed.
You, the alpha, were in charge of killing the wooly mammoth.
And providing that TO the tribe.
Your reward?
Give First Get Later
Massive social validation, genuine respect and “submission” to your alpha status.
That is REAL, ancient, old school alpha.
A provider.
Not of game, or entertainment or wicked lines.
But of REAL value.
Real food so the people who SUBMIT to your alpha status don’t have to DIE of starvation.
A perfect system.
Calibrated into our DNA through thousands of generations.
Leadership, alpha status, respect, admiration, sex as a RESULT of previous behavior.
Behavior that CREATED genuine, life saving value FOR others.
An ancient exchange.
No Straggling Allowed
And back then, EVERYBODY was FORCED to make the transition.
From being a CHILD, and feeling like a RECIEVER from those more powerful than you.
To being an ADULT and voluntarily shouldering the responsibility TO those weaker than you.
Today, there are more “adult” children than ever.
All thinking that somebody ELSE is supposed to “take care of them.”
All who will subconsciously submit to a genuine alpha.
Real Alpha Secrets
Not a fake alpha who only wants the rewards, without first DEMONSTRATING their worth.
In the ancient world, this required very dangerous behavior.
In our modern world, all it requires is a mindset.
A mindset that has ELMINATED the idea that “somebody else” is supposed to take care of you.
Be in charge of your life.
Accept responsibility for your life.
Demonstrate this through your frame, and people will follow you.
