Clown Show Love
Modern dating is a trainwreck.
A train that happens to also be pulling a bunch of dumpsters.
All of which are on fire.
And this particular train is being driven by drunken clowns.
Drunken evil clowns.
With chainsaws.
OK, you get the idea.
Why is this?
One reason is that modern dating is EXTREMELY superficial.
With online dating, this goes without saying.
Deciding who to talk to based only on a picture and a bunch of superficial ideas misses a lot of “data.”
For example, think about how people used to get together in the past.
Before the internet.
Natural and Organic
You hang out with people and mingle.
At school, at work, at church, wherever.
You see each other a few times.
You say hi to each other a few times.
You start to say more than hi.
You have some friendly conversations.
Somebody makes a move and you hang out OUTSIDE of work.
Maybe as a group.
Eventually, it’s just the two of you.
The connections slowly grow deeper and deeper.
Pretty soon you cross the physical threshold.
How long does this take?
Slide Into Each Other
For normal humans, a few months, at least.
For ancient humans? Much longer.
The WHOLE REASON for humans to get together like this is to make more people
And these “new people” take a LOT of work.
A lot of time.
Which meant the bonds between the two makers of the new person had to very, very strong.
You can’t create strong bonds by texting back and forth off a dating app.
Long term, human love connection bonds need time, and patience.
This is why so many people are in agony within the modern dating world.
People try to hurry up and make connections.
But because both sides are as superficial as they possibly can, nobody really knows who they are getting into a relationship.
Hard To Pretend
Eventually the real YOU and the real THEM pop up.
And if this happens AFTER the thrill is gone, there’s not much left.
What’s the answer?
There are a few.
One is to simply withdraw and stop playing the game.
This is common, this is tempting, but this isn’t any fun.
Another is to try to go old school.
Join a church, maybe take a few classes and hope for the best.
This is hard to do AFTER playing the “fast connections” game.
There is a third way.
To connect quickly, but target deeply.
To look beyond the superficial.
Deep Connections
To communicate with their deeper nature.
This deeper nature that still exists in everybody.
But is starved for attention.
