This is a common phrase that you hear a lot, but it’s not quite what people expect, or seem to think.
For example, it’s usually used to describe something that’s worse off, and we’ve just got to deal with it.
Unemployment is higher, and it’s going to stay that way. That’s the “new normal.”
Inflation is creeping up, and it’s going to stay that way. That’s the “new normal.”
Jobs are constantly being shipped overseas. That’s the “new normal.”
Now some people are content to let others define what’s normal.
Others aren’t willing to sit around and let that happen.
But here’s another take on the “new normal.”
Whatever you are comfortable doing, that’s normal.
When you become comfortable doing something else, that’s the “new normal.”
If you change your eating habits so that eating healthy, small portions is something you do without thinking, then that’s YOUR “new normal.”
If you start to become more socially outgoing and confident, without a second thought, that’s YOUR “new normal.”
If you start making a lot more money, doing what you truly love, despite what those idiots on TV are saying, that’s YOUR “new normal.”
The question is who’s “new normal” do you want.
Your own, or somebody else’s?
Who defines your life? You or somebody else?
