I went to this really amazing science museum once in Hong Kong.
They had tons of floors, tons of rooms with tons of different science exhibits and interactive things in a bunch of different rooms.
Like a gigantic mall, but every shop had something to do with science.
There was this hot tub company that was trying to take market share away from their competitors.
Jet Stream Hypnosis
They tried to create a theta wave inducing jet stream, hoping it would create a much more relaxing experience for their users.
This was going to be their main USP, a brainwave inducing hot tub.
I have a friend who works for one of the studios.
Sometimes he sits in on meetings where people come in a pitch their ideas.
Check This Out
One group had an idea for a reality TV show.
A team competition kind of thing.
The first phase would be the team going door to door and asking strangers for free stuff.
Beg and Barter
The second phase would be to take all this free stuff, and then trade it, again by going door to door, with strangers.
To trade it for better stuff.
I went to this really weird party the other night.
Let’s Bake Something Horrible
It was a random baking party, based on some custom made board game.
The angle was to create a recipe, completely at random, from existing materials in the house.
Like step one and ingredient one from a recipe on how to make blueberry pancakes.
Step two and ingredient two on how to properly marinate a steak.
Step three on how to properly cut an avocado and get out the pit so nobody dies.
Then even pick a random numbers of steps.
The night I went, they had seven steps.
The resulting dish tasted horrible.
This Is So Cool
But through the entire evening, this weird party people acted like they were on their way to discovering the hidden secrets of quantum tunneling or something.
The third stage is when they get a bunch of stuff and then sell it on eBay.
The team who makes the most money wins.
Ain’t Gonna Fly
But they rejected it, since all reality shows have to be something they can easily rig while making this seem completely normal.
This, of course, would destroy the randomness of knocking strangers doors.
They were worried that people would answer their door naked, or while wearing a strap on dildo as a hat.
They were also afraid that some of the free gifts might be drug paraphernalia or used pornography.
Didn’t See That Coming
It worked so well that plenty of people fell asleep.
Then they slipped underneath the water and drowned.
Which is why this hot tub company went out of business.
Bowling Ball Show
Ever hour, on the hour, a sequence of rolling bowling balls would commence.
On the inside of this fantastic Hong Kong museum was this giant structure that had bowling balls rolling down the track and doing tricks.
Like doing a loop, or jumping over the food course and continuing on their way as if nothing happened.
Mind Persuasion has plenty of books and courses to teach you how to speak hypnotically and persuasively.
