The Wedge
There’s a beach in Newport Beach called The Wedge.
It’s a perfect example of wave interference patterns, how when waves cross orthogonally, the peaks combine, as do the troughs.
This means the waves rise quick and high, but they also suck up all the water to do so, so when they break, the break into very shallow water.
Levels of Science
Science is different, or involves different ideas, principles and equations based the size of the frame of reference.
Particle physics is much different from chemistry, chemistry is much different than biology.
Describing a higher level science in terms of lower level terms is very difficult.
Cities and Stars
There’s an interesting parallel between the formation of large agricultural societies and the formation of stars.
Stars are initially clumps of similar matter, but once gravity pulls enough material together, the pressure creates new forms of matter.
As agricultural societies start, they pull into other members, which creates new and complex organizational structures.
Unified Field Theory
Scientists don’t agree on when or even if we’ll ever discover a unified theory of everything.
But there is an idea that understanding a basic concept that would adequately describe all levels of science would be not only compelling but potentially very powerful.
One might even merge the physical and spiritual states.
Different sciences and mindsets are required to understand different aspects of science.
Broken Minds
This leads to a fractionation of the mind, and the subsequent imagination of separation.
But an understanding of meta science might lead to a complete merging of physical and spiritual minds.
This might allow you access to extraordinary powers.
To detach from the necessity of physical limitations.
For your mind, your consciousness, to leave your body for extended periods of time.
Mind Merging
To merge your mind with others.
To encompass other minds with yours.
To access instant knowledge of everything that has happened, and everything that will happen.
Historians explain the mechanics of the rise and fall of societies.
Dying Stars
They appear structurally similar to the birth and death of stars.
Starts start with an abundance of energy, which balances the inward gravity with the outward power due to nuclear fusion.
But once all the fuel runs out, gravity takes over and the star is crushed and can turn into a black hole.
No More Food
Large, complex societies live off food energy.
So when the food runs out, or the food energy extracted out of the ground becomes less than the society is needed, the organizational power structure collapses on itself.
This is often unexpected, and due to the soil not being capable of supporting the masses.
Dirt Equals Death
When the soil turns into the dirt, and societies suddenly find themselves crashing into the dirt.
The more we discover more scientific principles, the harder it is to master those areas of science.
So as science continues to differentiate itself, the more specialized each scientist will become.
Often people become injured because they rise and fall so quickly.
Sand Isn’t Soft
If you are beginning surfer or a body surfer, for example, when you wipe out you won’t wipe out into enough water to cushion the fall.
When you wipe out at the Wedge, you may wipe out into the sand.
And unexpected crashes into the sand can be very painful.
