Taking Care Of Issues
I have this neighbor that has been going to a therapist for a few weeks. She’s been trying to break up with her boyfriend for a few months and every time she tries, he seems to know exactly how to push her buttons in a way that makes her feel emotionally unstable. In a way that makes her feel like she needs to stay with him to regain her emotional stability.
So she’s trying to learn how to better break up with him in a more assertive way so she can retain her emotional stability throughout the whole process.
Therapist Archetype
In a lot of movies there is a therapist archetype. Sometimes it’s the protagonist sometimes it’s the antagonist. A lot of times a therapist in a movie serves as a very useful tool to shed some light on the main character.
One of the ways this was done correctly was in the TV show the Sopranos. One of the ways, one of the reasons, it was done correctly was because Tony Soprano was never really honest when he went to see his therapist. Every time he talked to his therapist that really just added another level of complexity.
Sometimes in movies they have bad guys or good guys go see their therapist is really like a lazy writing shortcut. Instead of showing the character in various situations and trying to illustrate through showing what their kind of brokenness is, they use the therapist archetype to come to tell what his brokenness is.
Therapist Horror Killer
There’s a lot of really good horror movies that have the therapist as the main antagonist. If that’s done really well it can be really really good from a psychological horror standpoint.
A therapist is somebody that you’re supposed to trust. If the person you trust the most is also the one that is intending to do you the most harm. That can create a very very tense psychological situation.
If you tend like psychologically tense situations, if you tend to like those movies, there are some really good movies that have the therapist as the main antagonist.
Killing Half The Planet
Therapists are also very useful to build conspiracy theories. Sometimes you can find some conspiracy theories that are much more interesting that even the best movies.
My favorite conspiracy theories that involves therapists is the conspiracy theory about how the elites are going to eliminate half of the world’s population.
The story goes that the elites, the rich people, the behind-the-scenes people, that secretly controlled the people that we think are running the world, the politicians. The people that actually control the politicians there are the real ones that are running the world.
These are sometimes called the deep state but ever since World War II they’ve realized the main problem on planet Earth is that there’s just too many people.
The natural and easy and obvious solution is just a get rid of half the people. But the problem is how do you do that without the people finding out that they’re getting gotten rid of?
Getting Gotten Rid Of
If most of the people find out that there getting gotten rid of, then they will stage of violent revolt against the elites. Massive loodshed and no one can win that situation.
So the elites have this plan where they’re going to eliminate half the planet without the planet realizing that they’re being eliminated. How they’re going to carry this out is by enacting this global single-payer health care system.
This plan has been started ever since World War II. That was when the first kind of idea popped up that any kind of human can go see your doctor and have somebody else pay it.
That’s kind of the main idea they need to get into the mind of every single person on earth. They need two main ideas that need to be accepted by every person on earth.
Two Step Global Murder
The two main ideas are, one, that you have the ability and the right to go see a doctor and have somebody else pay for it. The other idea is this actually has to be possible. Going to see your doctor and taking the pills your doctor gives you. An appropriate response to any kind of problems you have.
Once you have this paradigm accepted by everybody on planet Earth both the idea and the accessibility of seeing a doctor with any kind of problem, and trusting the doctor and telling the doctor all your problems, and getting a pill from the doctor.
Blue Pill Red Pill Dead Pill Kill Pill
Thinking that pill is going to solve your problems. That is the perfect setup. Once they have that set up then these doctors can start screening people.
It will seem like it’s happening from the perspective of the patient as doctors can be asking you questions to try to help you solve your problems.
In reality what is happening is a doctors will be asking you questions and they’ll use your answers to those questions to determine if you get to live or die.
Once they make that determination or can decide what kind of pills to give you. The pills will kill you, but they won’t kill you in obvious ways.
They’ll kill you by giving you cancer. They’ll kill you by making you go insane and making you suicidal. They’ll kill you by making your retreat into your house and never leave and die from starvation.
Once the elites have the system set up. Once they have us all believing that we can go see the doctor with any problems, that we have and that they can solve our problems by giving us pills, then it’s just a matter of time before the elites start to kill half the planet.
Comic Book Therapist Villains
Of course there’s some horror movies were the main antagonist is a therapist but it’s like a super-villain comic book character villain. They use their patients to to experiments like actual experiments.
Take back their laboratory in tell them they’re going to do some kind of a psychological experiment but it’s really just an experiment to develop their villain weapons. The villain tools or something.
A lot of times he’ll kill their patients or their patients will turn into their sidekicks.
There’s a lot of good opportunities to use therapists as antagonists and stories depending on what kind of horror movies you like.
Beware Of Lazy Writing
I really don’t like it when they use a therapist in movies as a shortcut to shine a light on the characters brokenness. You can usually tell from the beginning if the good guy or the bad guy goes to the therapist and and they tell you within the first 10-15 minutes of the movie about all the horrific things that happened to the bad guy are the good guy as a child.
There’s not really the discovery aspect of trying to learn who the characters are and why they’re broken. Just kind of get that out there in the open from the beginning.
Well Written Characters
Those movies tend not to be as enjoyable to ones were they’re much more well-written characters.
One of the main things my friend is doing at her therapist as she has a list of the worst imagined things that her boyfriend might say to her.
If she tries to break up with him. What they do mostly just ca role-play these scenarios, sort of practice breaking up of the therapist.
Branch Rickey Strategy
The therapist will play her boyfriend and her therapist will say all of these worst feared things that she’s afraid he’ll say.
That she can get over these worse feared things in the therapist office that will be a lot easier for her to do it in the life. What she can do that than she can finally move on and find a more healthy relationship.
Leave The Past In The Past
If you are in an unhealthy relationship the best solution is to break it off and forget everything that came before this.
