Second Date
A long time ago I dated this girl for three dates. Precisely three dates. It was a setup of a mutual friend and because this mutual friend was actually a pretty good friend of mine I wanted to give this a best effort even though I knew on the first date that it wasn’t going to go anywhere.
I picked her up on the second date. I was at her house, she lived with her parents, and was waiting for her to get ready. I started talking to her dad and her dad was kinda trying to covertly find out stuff about me, what he knew about how we got together anything.
He was telling me about how when he used to be a software engineer. He’s retired and he worked on these virtual reality systems. Most of them he worked for the government indirectly. He would be hired as a consultant by private companies but these private companies have their only the client as the US government the military.
Private Contractor
Essentially he worked for the government through these private companies but some of the stuff was what you would expect like a lot of virtual reality training systems flight simulators a lot of virtual reality kind of control systems for drones.
You have a drone flying around another country, they would be controlling it from a first-person perspective. They had the drone with advanced weaponry and advanced photography and that was connected to the control station so they could take pictures with the drone and look it up and use their facial recognition technology.
Find out who they can see who they can kill. The problem with this is that because it was a physical drone there was always the problem of the drone getting captured and reverse engineered and or demonstrating that the US was breaking some kind of treaty.
Don’t Kill Other Citizens
Like you’re not supposed to go to other countries and assassinate people. One of the companies was trying to develop a drone that was not made of physical matter was made of these kind of energy fields.
They had had a lot of success. The way these drones worked as they were very very powerful because instead of actually flying around and creating kinetic effects what they did was they were able to take this energy field drone and control it just like they would a regular physical drone.
They could implant this energy field drone into people’s brains. Drop it right in and once they were inside somebody’s mind they could kind of override their sensory input system. They can actually create these images and make it seem like the images were being generated by real items and in the real world.
Instant Mind Control
For example they could drop this energy field in the somebody’s brain and the person would really think that there was suddenly a tiger or a lion in front of them on the street. It was like that movie Jumanji. They would see these animals whatever they wanted, just pop out of nowhere and there would be absolutely real and they would respond to them as if they were absolutely real.
This was a fantastic way to assassinate people without ever getting detected. If they wanted to kill somebody they could just kind of drop this drone this energy field drone flying above wait until the right moment and drop this drone on somebody’s brain.
There was suddenly feel like some animal or some creature some thing was attacking them from the left which we made them automatically respond by running to the right which, if they timed it correctly, they would run out traffic right front of the big truck or something.
This was a fantastic way to assassinate people and never get caught which also made it possible for them to practice this on American citizens because if the guy just ran out into traffic and got killed there be no way to tell what happened.
Dude Just Ran In Front Of That Truck!
Everyone that was watching him would say he just ran out into traffic. They would do an autopsy nobody would find anything strange. They’d just assume the guy decided to kill himself but what they were working on was way worse.
They haven’t quite figured this out yet but they were trying to figure out a way to override the brain’s internal time flow detection system. Which meant they could create these hallucinations, but they could create them and make them seem like they lasted a long long time.
They could, for example, create a hallucination and from the external timeline it would seem like from an external observer that this person was only acting strangely for 5 to 10 seconds. But from within this person’s own mind they can make it last up to 1000 years.
What they were going to use this for was that they could essentially interrogate anybody for any length of time and extract an unlimited amount of information from their brain.
Anything To Stop The Torture
One of the problems, of course, with interrogation especially if they’re using torture is people will just give information that they think the person wants to hear just to stop the torture.
But if they can do this from inside a person’s mind and make it seem like it’s lasting thousands and thousands of years it won’t take very long for the person just go insane and just deliver all the information they have.
This will be delivered to the control station is a pure stream of information which they could quickly check and see how accurate it is.
They had quite created this yet. Almost certainly if you are walking down the street and then all of a sudden you find yourself in an interrogation and out it lasted for 1000 years, after those over you would be irreversibly insane.
This Isn’t Working Out, Is It?
I think that was the second date, and we ended up going on another date. I think we both were honest with each other on the third date. That we both kind of knew that this date wasn’t going to go anywhere and so we just kinda came up with a story to tell our mutual friend.
While it is kind of an uncomfortable situation to be set up with somebody and not think you’re going to click with, somebody you still want to be kind of polite and friendly because it’s nice to have somebody that’s going to set you up a lot of people, so you want to make sure that nobody’s feelings get hurt.
