Long Game Dating
I knew this guy who was had been madly in love with this girl for a long, long time, and finally had convinced her to go on date with him.
He got a reservation in the most expensive restaurant in town, certain that he would impress her enough for another date, and another and eventually into wedded bliss.
Only when they got to the restaurant, they said they had no record of his reservation, so they had to go somewhere else.
She was so embarrassed that she never saw him again.
Frankenfruit Origins
For the longest time, humans have participating in the artificial selection of certain foods and animals.
For example, they take the seeds from the plumpest apples and plant those, which grow a tree that has slightly plumper apples that before.
This allows for a slow change over thousands of years.
But with recent advances in science, they can do this by targeting the DNA of the food or animal, creating genetically modified organisms, or GMO.
Where Are The Bees?
There is, allegedly, a problem with disappearing bees, that is supposedly going to kill us all if drastic action isn’t taken.
But what’s going is actually understood, only we’re not being told the entire story.
Normally bees go out everyday looking for food.
They find some, and come back, have a meeting with all the other bees and figure out where the biggest source of food is.
The problem is when they go out looking for food, they get lost somehow and can’t find their way home.
Origins Of Jesus
Between about 50AD and about 350AD there were a lot of different origin stories for Jesus.
Plenty of different Christian sects were popping up all over the place, but finally, when the Roman Empire Constantine become a Christian, they decided to choose an official origin story once and for all.
But some of them that were circulating around before then were pretty interesting.
Best One
One of them was that once upon a time, before the creation of the Earth, there was God and His angles.
His angles had free will, and God created them so they could worship and contemplate his divine God-ness.
But because they had free will, some of them chose to not worship Him as much as he wanted.
Free Will Has Costs
Some of them stepped back a little, and these became humans.
Some of them stepped back a lot, and they became the demons.
Some stayed close, and they were and are the angels.
One stayed so close, worshipped him so much, He became as Him, and that was Jesus.
Come Back
So God sent Jesus, the angel who had become him, down to Earth to give all of us humans a second chance.
To go back to heaven where we belong, where can worship the Divine creator more fully.
But we can only do that through Jesus, his only son.
Until then, we are humans, stuck on Earth in our corrupt human bodies, unable to find our way home.
Secondary Effects
The problem happens when the beekeepers take their bees to pollinate these large crops.
The large crops have been treated with pesticides that work on the genetic level.
These pesticides have been tested and are deemed safe for the particular crops.
But they have a negative, time delayed effect on the bees navigation system.
Broken Navigation
That’s why the bees are getting lost.
Bees that are only used to make honey, and are not used to pollinate large crops don’t have this problem.
The disappearing bee idea is promoted by these large, industrial bee keepers in hopes of getting government subsidies.
GMO Long Term Disaster?
Altering the genetics of plants and animals might have zero negative side effects.
Many negative side effects take a long time to manifest, so we might not know until it’s too late.
But if you were to go back in time a couple thousand years, most fruits and vegetables would look much, much different than they do today.
I Shall Have My Revenge
He quit his job and spent the next five years becoming a chef.
Then he spent another few years angling to get hired at the restaurant who lost his reservation and destroyed his plans of getting married to his dream girl.
Over the next year, he slowly poisoned as many of the restaurant’s customers as possible.
He went to jail, and the restaurant went out of business, and is still facing plenty of lawsuits, from relatives of the dead diners.
