There are plenty of ways to “sort” for people.
If you are a guy looking for a gal to date, you have your “type.”
If you are somebody interviewing for a job, you’ll have a basic set of qualifications.
Both for the job, and general people skills.
If you are looking for somebody to do some landscaping, you’ll also look for a collection of skills.
Specific landscaping skills, and things like reputation, trustworthiness, punctuality, friendliness, etc.
You can also sort people along various continuums.
Height, musical skills, juggling skills, cake baking skills, whatever.
You can even go “meta” with how you can sort people.
One way would be to see where others lie on the “cause-effect” spectrum.
Are they cause, and the world is an effect?
Or is the world at cause, and they are effect?
Doer Or Watcher?
Are they a force of nature, having a positive impact ON those they interact with?
Or they helplessly floating around like a ping pong ball, getting knocked around BY other people?
Imagine the kinds of people you’d like to hang out with.
The folks you’d like on your team.
The types would want to have a romantic relationship with.
Would they be more of a cause, or an effect?
Would you want somebody always waiting around hoping to be told EXACTLY what to do?
Or somebody you knew well, and they knew you well and you both operated ON reality like a well oiled machine?
To create a mutually agreed upon outcome?
The bottom line is the more you are AT CAUSE, the better of a life you’ll have.
The more you can operate ON the world, the more you’ll enjoy life.
Some people go to social events and parties and HOPE they are fun.
Social operators go to parties and KNOW that simply by their presence, they can MAKE them fun.
Create Happiness
They can create positive conversations.
They can create positive interactions.
They can bring happiness with them everywhere they go.
This happens quite a bit in sports.
You have a lackluster team, or a team playing a lackluster game.
But then something happens.
Either a new player shows up, or a player catches a break.
And BOOM!
The level of play takes off, and the previously lackluster team starts to DOMINATE.
Like a latent force of nature has been unleashed.
