Night On The Town
A couple of weeks ago I went to this open mic night.
I’d been to a couple, and they are always interesting.
If you’re paying to see somebody, then you have a much higher expectation of having a good time, but you’ll also see somebody who is going to perform under a much more constrained set of performance parameters.
But at open mic night, you never know what you’re going to get.
The first guy told a few sort of funny jokes.
The next lady read some poetry, but it didn’t make much sense.
I mean, I’m sure it made sense to her, and to her it was significant that she could stand up and read this to a bunch of strangers, but I don’t think anybody could really understand what this means.
Then this lady got up, and at first, she just kind of stood there.
Not nervous, just kind of enjoying herself up on stage.
She had a very calm, very powerful energy.
Zero nervousness. Zero anxiety.
This Is Gonna Be Good
Like she was getting ready to deliver something with incredible value, and she was savoring the experience.
She told a story about an ancient kingdom.
A medium sized kingdom surrounded by a few other medium sized kingdoms. They’d fought among themselves in the past, losing lives and destroying wealth, but there had been peace recently.
The king and queen were getting old, and their only daughter was a fifteen year old princess.
She was absolutely gorgeous. A women more beautiful than anybody had ever seen.
Conundrum Girl
But nobody had ever heard her speak.
Few people had ever seen her except in between the king and the queen.
And this caused a lot of anxiety.
The other kingdoms also had aging kings and queens, but they all had sons. The people of her kingdom were worried that this young princess who would one day be queen would be taken advantage of by these other princes.
That they would even fight over who got to marry her, and the winner would eventually take over all the kingdoms.
Princess Becomes Queen
Soon she turned eighteen, and the king and queen abdicated the throne in her favor.
So far, nobody had heard her speak, or even seen her alone.
As expected, the princes of the other kingdoms would come and visit her. They would arrive with huge traveling parties, filled with soldiers to show their strength and gifts to show their wealth.
But every time a prince and his traveling party would come, they would leave empty handed.
Other Kingdoms Conform
Slowly but surely, the other kingdoms gradually changed their governments and policies to support this central kingdom.
As the young queen became older, she slowly became the most powerful queen in the area.
Humans have only a few instincts, but chaos theory says it is impossible to predict our behavior.
Even worse is when these instincts are combined and expressed through our conscious minds.
All Instincts Are Confused
Even worse is when we are surrounded by others, all expressing the same deep instincts that must be transformed from the subconscious to the conscious.
This is why predicting people’s behavior is impossible.
This is why guessing what people will do is impossible.
But it’s also why leading people by these deep instincts is easy.
Because they are simple, and they are subconscious.
If you build up enough potential desire energy in these deep and subconscious instincts, you can convince anybody to do anything.
She Always Knew
This queen had known since she was very young that she had a profound gift.
That she only needed to be in a room with somebody, and they would be obedient to her intention.
She would only need to think of what she wanted the other person to do, and they would do it.
This is why she never appeared in public alone.
She was too worried a stray intention might forever alter the life of an innocent person.
Out Framed With Silence
It’s also why none of the other princes, despite their wealth and power, could seduce her.
While they were busily trying to convince her to marry and rule with them, she was busily seducing them with her intentions.
That is why over time, she became the most powerful queen the realm had ever seen.
Once when I was in college, I took valium on a whim.
I had already had a couple of beers, and a friend mentioned that he had a neck injury, and went to the campus health center.
Dude, Give Me Some!
They gave him valium, so naturally, I asked him to give me some.
I took two, and along with the beers I had already drunk, I was in the most relaxed state I’d ever been in.
Everything was perfect. I was totally content.
Even turning my head to answer a simple question seemed to take too much energy.
Um…..
That’s how I felt after this woman finished telling her story of the seductive and beautiful psychic princess who became queen.
Finally, I looked around, and everybody was the same.
The ice in everybody’s drinks had melted.
The condensation on all their glasses had pooled on their tables.
Cool Story, Bro…
Their arms were all at their sides.
Their faces all passive looks of happy contentment.
We all sat like that for a few minutes, the woman thanked us for our attention, and stepped off the stage.
Finally a few more people got up and told a few more jokes.
All in all, a very positive open mic night.
