Old School Ideas
A very interesting idea from antiquity, made famous by Plato, is the idea of the lost city of Atlantis.
These idea of an underwater ancient city that was far more advanced is very compelling, and surrounded in tons of mythology.
We humans seem to have a very keen interest in ideas surrounding ancient societies that were much more advanced than we are.
You’ll find this structure, of ancient entities on Earth that we have little record of, yet we have a strong belief that they were much more advanced than we are.
They All Vanished
There was a famous colony in the very early days of America.
Roanoke was founded in 1590, and there were 120 people.
But they completely vanished without a trace.
Nobody has any idea why.
Ancient Martians
Plenty of academics and fringe scientists believe that there is evidence of ancient canals on Mars.
But these canals were not natural, they were built by some intelligent beings.
Plenty of people theorize that there was indeed an ancient civilization on Mars that either left or went instinct as the water dried up and the atmosphere changed.
Hippie Cult
There was this cult in the early sixties that originally had ties to the Manson family.
Charles Manson wasn’t really a cult leader like he’s made out to be.
He was more of a pimp and a drug dealer.
He would collect young runaways as they arrived in LA, hoping to make it big in Hollywood.
Manson Was A Pimp
He would pimp them out, and use them to sell drugs.
Because he was involved in underage prostitution, and many of his clients were Hollywood big shots, when he was arrested his pimping and drug dealing were covered up.
The story of the cult was kind of made up by the DA to protect the Hollywood elite.
That’s why this other cult detached from the Manson family.
They didn’t want to have anything to do with underage prostitution.
Agricultural Commune
They were a very self-sufficient commune, who lived in the hills of Southern California.
They grew produce and sold it.
That’s where they got all their money.
Their leader was a very charismatic and powerful preacher.
When this guy would talk, his listeners would drop into a trance.
Strict Rules
But this cult leader was very strict.
He didn’t allow drugs, or alcohol, or even sex.
Except during the full moon ceremony.
He would allow them to leave whenever they wanted, so strictly speaking the weren’t a cult.
No Mind Poison
In order to stay, they had to work hard, earn their keep, and abstain from sex, drugs and alcohol.
But during the full moon, this guy would preach.
He would tell deeply hypnotic stories about ancient humans.
Stories about spiritual entities and ancient philosophical questions.
Post Sermon Orgies
And after these sermons, while the moon was still full, he would allow them to ceremonies of spiritual ecstasy.
This would entail ingesting spiritual herbs and having uninhibited sex.
This was a very sexually powerful experience.
The herbs would allow them to reach a stage of continuous orgasm for several hours.
This Goes Deeper
But this cult leader has a much deeper plan.
He carefully calculated the timing of the spiritual ecstasy with not only the full moon, but the full moon sermon.
Because these sermons were filled with ideas of obedience and loyalty and voluntary servitude.
Subconscious Associations
He essentially trained them using very powerful operant conditioning.
They would spend the month working hard and making money.
They would come to these full moon ceremonies and essentially spend an hour promising their undying obedience to this cult leader.
Their reward was a drug based, hour long orgasms.
So they would subconsciously associate this cult leader with powerful sexual bliss.
Orgasmic Bliss Leader
They would subconsciously associate this cult leader with spiritual ecstasy.
They would subconsciously associate this cult leader with infinite bliss in the afterlife.
Of course, like all powerful people, this cult leader eventually went insane.
Pretty soon, only gaining their undying obedience wasn’t enough.
It Always Ends Badly
Soon they started having human sacrifices during the full moon parties.
Which meant they eventually ran out of people.
This meant they needed to start kidnapping people.
Which inevitably caused their downfall.
They eventually disappeared, nobody knows what happened to them.
Underground Society
Some say they are still there, living underground.
Some believe the canals are natural.
Some believe that we are Martians, and life on Earth was seeded by Martians, who saw their world collapsing.
There are plenty of theories of why they vanished.
I’d Rather Be Free
The most probable is that they simply assimilated into the native population.
One little known fact about very early colonization of North America is most of the colonists were indentured servants.
And given a choice being essentially a serf, working for some nobel lord, or living freely as a native, most would choose freedom over slavery.
Martian Origin Story
One idea is that many of the ancient civilization ideas involve a flood of some kind.
In the Bible, the people that lived before the flood were sons of God, or Nephilim.
That kind of sounds similar to an ancient race of super humans in an advanced civilization that were buried under water.
This idea, of an ancient and superior race of people that somehow vanished, can be found in many cultures.
Phone Home
So many we were put here by Martians or other aliens.
Or maybe we are the Martians.
Perhaps that’s why there is so much interest in going to Mars today.
Maybe it feels like we are going home.
