Last Semester In College
The very last semester of college for me was chaotic enlightening and very life-changing. I lived in a house with a bunch of other guys. When I moved in they had already arranged the rental agreement with the owner. They had been living there for about a semester before I lived there before I moved.
In the very last semester, about a week before the last semester started, he suddenly decided he was going to kick us all out. We each had about a week to find a new place to live before our last semester in college started.
Now, we probably could have fought him in court. We probably could have done something to keep him from kicking us out, but we were just a bunch of dumb kids. We were sufficiently worried about being homeless so we just figured the best course of action for us would be to find a new place to live.
Need A Bed To Sleep In
I started calling around and started looking at ads and I started leaving messages. I found this one guy that had a big house near campus. It was just him living in the house. He was a guitarist and he played in a couple of local bands. I went and talked to him. He seemed to be very very careful about who he wanted to rent his spare bedroom to.
He asked me quite a lot of questions. He wanted me to show him my textbooks. He wanted to see my transcripts. He wanted to make sure that I had plans after I graduated. He seemed to want to make sure that I wasn’t going to move in and then never move out. He seemed like a nice enough guy. The house was perfect it was just him and he was renting out a spare room.
He didn’t really say why he was renting the room out. I was just so worried about getting a place I didn’t really ask, but after I moved in after I unpacked all my stuff, I realized we had never talked about the rent. I guess I had just assumed it would be very similar to the rent and the other places that I looked at.
Rent Free
He told me that there would be no rent. That I could live there rent free. This sent up some very very strong warning signs. I mean if I was a very hot attractive female and he was an older guy I would assume immediately that he wanted to have sex with me. But because I was not a hot young girl and he didn’t seem to be the creepy type, I wondered why he was let me live there rent free. It didn’t make any sense.
I was kind of worried that maybe I’d completely misread him. I was worried that he might turn out to be some kind of a serial killer. I thought maybe he had a bunch of dead bodies buried in the backyard and I’d be the next one to be buried next to them.
I asked him I asked him why he was letting me live there rent free and he told me that an old friend of his had given him the house. When he gave him the house the stipulation was he had to help people in need when they needed it and he had to give them a place to live rent free for as long as they needed it.
So, You Gonna Kill Me?
I said okay, what’s the story? How did this guy give you this house? He said well I’ll tell you. It’s an old friend that I’ve known for a long time. He was in a situation a long time ago at this street fair in San Diego, many many years ago. Something happened. There was some event that happened, he never really told me exactly what it was, but he just said that something bad could have happened had he not intervened.
It was one of those situations where you see something that needs to be done, but you know that if you do that it’s gonna be a lot of risk for you. There might not be any benefit, but it just seems to be something that you need to get done. So he acted. He prevented something very very bad from happening he put himself at risk.
This woman saw him do that. This woman was very impressed. She waited until the commotion died down and she approached him. It turned out that she was a clairvoyant that had a booth at this fair. She was giving palm readings for five or ten dollars and she said let me see you, let me see what you have.
Watcha Got There?
He was carrying a bag, and then this bag was a metal flask that he had one at a previous booth shooting baskets or something. She took the hip flask, she pressed it between her two palms, and she stood there saying a prayer. What he said was some kind of old Latin the prayer that lasted about a minute. She gave the hip flask back to him.
She said because of your kind of spirit and moral confidence I have given you a great gift. This great gift comes with several restrictions to make sure you don’t misuse your gifts. The first restriction is you must you must purify your heart before you accept this gift. In order to purify your heart you have to go sit at a Catholic mass for one hour.
It doesn’t matter if you are not Catholic. It doesn’t matter if you are not Christian. It doesn’t matter if you have a strong distaste for the Catholic leadership. It only requires that you sit around people that believe in some moral guidance higher than themselves. Once you sit among these people that believe in a moral guidance higher than themselves your heart will be purified.
Pure Heart – Holy Water
Then you are to take this flask and fill it with holy water from the back of the church. Once you purify your heart and you fill this flask with holy water, every sip of this holy water will give you clairvoyant and telepathic powers for a short amount of time. How you use those powers is completely up to you, but the only restriction is you have to use them in a way that benefits other people at least as much as you.
As long as you use your powers to benefit other people as least as much as you, your powers will increase. If you ever try and use your powers that benefit yourself without benefiting other people, or worse, if you use your powers to benefit yourself at the expense of other people your powers will diminish. So this guy took the flask from her.
He spent the next couple of years practicing how to best use his powers. He first went and played poker. He first learned how to go on the floor of various stock exchanges and read the minds of all the participants so he could predict stock movements. Then he learned how to figure out where the Federal Reserve was holding their meetings and how to project his telepathic readings of their mind so he would be able to predict the movements of interest rates.
Use Gifts Wisely Make More Money
Every time he did this he made more money. Every time he made more money he would give this money to other people. People that he decided needed it. He always was careful to follow her advice. One of the things he did with his money was to buy and give me this house. He told me the story he told me her advice that as long as you use your gifts to help other people your gifts will increase.
Ever since he gave me this house and I’ve let certain people live here under certain conditions, my guitar playing has gotten better and better. I use that when I play guitar. I am a member of three bands. All three bands are doing very very well. We continuously grow our audience. Every place we play is packed. People are glad to hear us. People are happy to hear us. We are very careful not to sell out.
That’s why I’m letting you stay here for free for one semester. You need to stay here. You need to focus on your grades and you need to do the same thing. You need to turn and use your gifts to help other people and not use your gifts to help only yourself.
No Bomb Makers
I have to admit my last semester in college I was studying physics and I was seriously contemplating getting a very high paying job at one of the many defense contractors. I even had an opportunity at a job from a defense contractor my last semester in college that I turned down in a very glad that I did so.
He was very careful to remind me of the moral that if you have gifts and you use your gifts to help other people your gifts will increase. Your gifts will expand. Your gifts will multiply.
If you use your gifts to only help yourself or worse use your gifts to help yourself at the expense of other people your gifts will diminish. Your gifts will weaken. What you do now based on this information is up to you.
