Bored On The Boat
There was this astrophysicists, born in India, and further educated in the United States.
He got his undergraduate degree in India, and took a boat to Europe to start his graduate degree.
On his way, on the boat, in between being an undergrad and a graduate student, he came up with a theoretical calculation of the stability limits of white dwarf stars.
When he arrived, he presented his ideas to the then established authorities on astrophysics, and they roundly criticized him.
Truth Into The Hive Mind
This is a common path of knowledge as it makes its way into acceptance by the hive mind.
First it is ridiculed, then it is begrudgingly accepted, then it’s taught, and then it’s considered common knowledge.
This process can take several decades to several centuries.
Into The Hypno Verse
There is a psychologist who made some unsettling discoveries, ones that were never quite accepted by her peers.
None of her papers passed peer review, and none were published in any of the journals.
So she shifted from being a theoretical psychologist to a practicing hypno-therapist.
Her theory is that all beliefs, even scientific beliefs are false.
They are hallucinations which serve as a means to an end.
And the end is always chosen by our instincts and our unconscious.
Means To Unknown Ends
Further, all of our internally held hallucinations about the world and ourselves are nearly impossible to hold separate from the hive mind.
That we are simply part of large, group hallucinations which are similar in mathematical structure to standing wave resonance chambers.
And to the extent our collective hallucinations serve our instincts, we can maintain a stable society.
Flying Out Of Control
But so far, none of these equilibria are stable.
A small group of hunter gathers can maintain a stable equilibrium within the hive mind hallucination for several thousand years.
But for some reason, there is a limit to the size of these collective hallucinations within a much larger society.
Theoretically, each hive mind could be considered to be one larger singular hallucination, based on the Fourier transform.
But these larger, singular hive mind hallucinations are never stable, as they are always prone to stray inputs.
Unpredictable Inputs
And with information systems increasing in reach and complexity, the stability of the hive mind collective singular equilibrium is developing shorter and shorter half lives.
Which means, form a purely mathematical standpoint, we are approaching what might be called a blow off top.
This, of course, will inevitably lead to a decoupling between energetic inputs and hallucination outputs.
When this happens, specifically, is anybody’s guess.
But based on recent mathematical approximations, it is going to be very soon.
It’s Gonna Be A Doozy
Since the contributing factors and the size and scope of this magnitude have never been experience before in planetary history, it’s believed this coming event will be associated with significant and rapid depopulation.
Her theory is that with practice, you can learn to create your own custom hallucination.
This requires recalibrating all your instincts for more stability and self control.
Once this is happened, you simply create the best hallucination to achieve your goal.
But the biggest draw back is any personal hallucination is difficult to decouple from accepted hive mind hallucinations.
But if you can manage to decouple your energetic and thinking references to exterior hallucinations, you can make significant progress.
Neutron Star Novel Prize
He eventually won the Nobel prize for his idea that was once ridiculed.
Now this phenomenon, named after him, is referred to as the Chandrasekhar limit.
Beyond this limit, which is essentially a balance in outward and inward forces, the white dwarf will collapse into either a black hole or a neutron star.
This idea, now considered common and self evident, was once rejected by the authority figures at the because it was new and lacked the requisite social proof and authority for any idea to be believed.
