Continuous Improvement
Everything you want to get better at takes practice.
This is a harsh truth, especially in the realm of interpersonal skills.
This is why they have clubs like Toastmasters.
Groups of helpful friendly people who help each other become better, more confident, more competent speakers.
Way back during the Great Depression, Dale Carnegie had the same idea.
His famous book, “How To Win Friends and Influence People,” was essentially created from his weekly speaking classes.
In his classes, you only had two minutes to make your point.
To deliver a powerful, elegant and persuasive speech in only two minutes.
This skill would have been very helpful back then when everybody was looking for jobs and few people were hiring.
To state your case quickly and effectively.
Straight To The Point
Just doing this would help you stand out in the crowd.
I’ve read a lot of books by a lot of people.
Really brilliant books filled with insightful ideas that really make you think.
I’ve also read a lot of books that turned out to be re-hashed basic ideas.
And I’ve seen plenty from both sides speak in public.
And there’s not a lot of overlap.
Some of my favorite authors are the least inspiring speakers.
But some of the re-hashed idea type people are the BEST speakers.
They really get the crowd going.
If you want to sell from the stage, ideas won’t do it.
The ability to move emotions will.
If you want to seduce a gorgeous lady, ideas won’t do it..
The ability to move emotions will.
Now for the money question.
How do you develop that kind of frame?
For public speaking, or selling from the stage, it’s pretty straightforward.
Step By Step
Keep practicing.
Get as much feedback as you can.
But for one on one, it’s not so easy.
Shaking social anxiety is a lot more difficult in one on one situations that shaking public speaking fear.
Once you give enough speeches it becomes like a drug.
But for some reason, practicing with strangers who are gorgeous isn’t something that’s so easy.
Luckily, there is another way.
To practice the deeper frame elements that don’t require you go out and number close dozens of people every day.
The way you move, the way you speak, and particularly, the way you think about your future.
This kind of thing, if practiced, will build a very strong, very subconscious aura of attraction.
