Lecture
I watched this really cool lecture the other day called, “The Harvard Scam.”
This wasn’t actually about how Harvard is running some kind of scam.
But it was about how most things are not how they seem.
And most things are not wholly organic.
Most things are a combination of organically co-evolving systems, deliberate misdirection and outright fraud.
Too Many Variables
The bigger they are, the more of these different elements they contain.
The Harvard scam starts out by creating artificial scarcity.
The “Art of War,” by Sun Tzu is a very valuable collection of military strategies.
But in modern times, even in the past several hundred years, it’s applied to business.
Business Is War
The strategies in business, of course, are very structurally similar to the strategies of war.
Some believe that Sun Tzu is actually a pseudonym, or perhaps the Art of War wasn’t even written by one guy.
Rather, this is just a collection of very powerful ideas put together over many previous centuries.
Old Friend
I have a friend that I’ve known for a few years.
When we first met, his kids were just about out of high school and getting ready to go to college.
Once I was at his house for dinner and he and his wife told me his origin story.
They met while in college, and at the time, he had big dreams.
He wanted to do great things.
Mind For Learning
But more importantly, he wanted to learn about great things.
His great passion was to be able to learn as much as possible.
And his then girlfriend supported that idea.
In fact, this was the main reason she was attracted to him.
Because he had this deep desire to keep learning.
Life Happens
But then they got married shortly after college, and had a kid shortly thereafter.
He got a job, and gave up his dream.
Until she reminded him of it almost a decade later.
I went to this really crazy business seminar a few years ago.
I don’t even remember how I heard about it.
Old Hotel
I just remember it was in this hotel downtown.
Not the nicest hotel, they didn’t even have their own parking.
I had to park in a city lot, surrounded by a chain link fence.
The seminar didn’t even have a name.
Wanderer
So I had to kind of wander around in the hotel, looking for a room that looked like it might be this business seminar.
I finally found it.
This seminar was based on a combination of numerology and natural human resonance.
The first half we practiced measuring somebody’s resonance frequency.
This required we watch them walk for a few seconds, without talking on the phone.
Resonance Movements
Based on how their joints moved while they walked, mainly the knees and elbows, we could calculate their natural frequency.
Most people have a natural frequency of about three hertz, or three cycles per second.
Next we had to focus on a series of numbers.
This was the weird part.
This part didn’t make any sense.
This part still doesn’t make any sense.
Seven Numbers
We had to think of a string of seven numbers, each number between 1 and 99, matched as closely as possible with their natural frequency.
During the entire seminar, this guy only gave us three sets of seven numbers.
But each set of seven numbers did something very, very specific.
First, you measured their frequency.
Then, you focused on them while thinking of those numbers, in order, in the same frequency as theirs.
Match Thinking and Actions
An internal focus, external measuring, resonance strategy.
Once your internal number focus frequency matched up with their external mind body system frequency, you would feel this click.
A very strong sense of control over the other person.
The first set of numbers made the person stop dead in their tracks, confused, until we released them.
Human Control System
The second set made them suddenly stop and reverse directions.
They would reverse directions every time we matched their frequency.
The third set of numbers made them keep walking, but burst out in laughter.
This the most amazing thing I’d ever seen.
This first seminar is free.
He said he would be in contact with you later with information on the second seminar.
Additional Sequences
The second seminar, he would teach you a list of 500 separate number combinations.
All that would make people do whatever you want.
Fall in love, give you money, have an orgasm in their pants, murder somebody, agree with everything you say.
When your back ground check passes, you will be sent information on the seminar date, and the seminar cost.
Two Step Qualification
If you do pass the background check, the cost will be high.
After about ten years, she slowly convinced him to go back to school, to pursue his dream.
First he got his MBA.
Next he got a PhD.
Now, he’s got two masters, including his MBA and two PhDs.
And the PHD’s are both in a very esoteric kind of science.
Sun Never Sets on Sun Tsu
Some say that the clever application of Sun Tsu by the British Empire helped them to maintain global domination over the seas.
The situation where the sun never set on the British Empire was largely due to the application of the principles in the Art of War.
Every British officer in the Royal Navy had to master the principles described in the Art of War.
Start With A Huge Net
They create scarcity by sending out massive amounts of advertisements to their school.
They send representatives to high schools around the world.
The whole idea is to get tens of thousands to apply to Harvard every year.
The more that apply, the more their false scarcity system works.
They can only accept about 2000 students.
Long Game Scarcity
So if they can convince 100,000 to apply, that means they must reject 98% of the people, or accept only 2%.
This makes just the idea of getting into Harvard very valuable.
Very sought after.
The first thing this does is allow them to charge a lot for admission.
But this con runs much, much deeper.
Worldwide Filter
If they do this for a few decades, it creates a worldwide recognition of Harvard of being an elite school.
This essentially works as a filter on the global population of high school aged kids.
The smartest, and the richest will all want to go to Harvard.
The result is that Harvard is always being attended by the smartest kids in the world, that come from the richest families.
Harvard Professors
This, paradoxically, makes teaching at Harvard the easiest.
You put a but of smart kids from rich families together and what do you get?
A bunch of successful businesses being created.
This long game scam, which essentially turns Harvard into a filter that attracts the smartest and richest kids, makes Harvard the EASIEST school to teach at.
All they really need at Harvard is a huge library with all the best business and science books.
Facebook Microsoft Etc.
Add some super smart kids from super smart families, and you get a bunch of businesses being created.
No teaching required.
An even better con is that the it’s commonly believed that professors of anything at Harvard are some kind of super geniuses.
Which means they can write any mainstream book about any general topic and because they are Harvard Professors, their books will be virtual bestsellers.
They are assumed, since they are professors at Harvard, that they are the smartest professors on the planet.
Secret Easy Jobs
When in reality, they probably have the easiest jobs on the planet.
Since they are teaching the smartest, richest kids, most motivated kids on the planet.
According to this guy, everything is like this.
Scams Cons and Fraud
All large organizations are like this.
Organic cons, long game deceptions, and outright fraud.
That is how our society runs.
Nothing is what it seems.
