The other day I went to the library and got this really awesome book. It was fiction, about this witch who slowly transformed from a good witch into a bad witch. But in the end you find out she was really kind of a bad witch after all.
But it was written in a weird way. Very much like conversational hypnosis. Where you’re having a normal conversation with somebody and you start to suspect that you’re going deeper and deeper into trance.
Like subsequent words you hear makes you mind just kind of relax more. Every time you breathe in and out you decide that it’s just a good idea to let go and let these words do the thinking for you.
Let My Intuition Do The Thinking
Normally when I get a book, I just kind of wander up and down the aisles. I decide it’s a good idea to turn off your conscious mind and just let your intuition do the thinking. I start to pick up whatever stories look interesting and start to read them.
If they catch my attention I’ll take this home. I check it out and get on the bus, read this on the bus, read it when I get home and usually fall asleep.
But this particular set of stories are a little bit different. I was able to become so entranced by this I got on the wrong bus. I didn’t notice until a few stops later, when I realized this was going in a different direction that I had expected.
Dude, Where Am I?
So I got off and just started walking around. I ended up passing by these guys who were having a barbecue. I don’t know if they were just being really friendly, or they thought I was somebody else but they invited me inside.
I ate dinner with them and talked about various things that we didn’t have in common. It seemed both very strange and very normal at the same time. Then they said it was time to go downstairs to have the seance. When I think about it now, and I force myself into an objective position, I might have decided to think this is strange, but at the time this seemed completely normal.
We, or they, did a bunch of chants and I figured I’d just go along for the ride. After a little while this spirit entity showed up and started to communicate. It wasn’t exactly speaking, and you couldn’t exactly see her, but you could feel this presence. You could feel her in your mind, now, talking to you, telling you things, helping you understand things.
Big Heart Big Skills
Once upon a time there was this very young and very gifted psychic. She had a big heart, and wanted to help people, so she set up a psychic shop. Right away she was very successful. Her readings were extremely accurate. People would come in and ask her what to do, she would tell them, they would do these things and they would work beautifully.
It didn’t take long until her reputation spread. Eventually, somebody asked her to cast a spell. It was a simple spell, a love spell. She cast the love spell and he fell in love with her almost immediately. Pretty soon people were coming to her asking for love spells, money spells, health spells.
But eventually people started asking her for negative spells. At first, these were just spells to keep people away. But pretty soon people were asking her for spells to harm others. To make others suffer. And unfortunately, she cast these spells. And they were just as powerful as the love spells.
Naive and Angry
It turns out she didn’t really have such a big heart. It turns out she was really just very naive. She was very much like a beginning sales person. Somebody who is very good at getting into rapport with customers.
But if you know anything about rapport, you know there are two kinds. Leading rapport, and following rapport. Getting into following rapport is easy. You must match body language, speaking rate, and everything else you can see.
But switching from following rapport to leading rapport isn’t so easy. This is why salespeople can have fantastic conversations with people but never sell anything. They are fantastic at making the customer feel comfortable. They are fantastic at eliciting the needs of the customer.
I Like You
They are fantastic and describing the product in perfect detail. But they are very, very unskilled in persuading the customer to buy the product. Because when the customer says they can’t afford the product, the salesperson believes them. They actually feel sorry for them.
This is because they were never able to master the art of leading people. Of learning how to be persuasive. Of learning how to be assertive. And that’s the same problem this psychic had.
People would come to her and tell her their problems. Like normal people, they would externalize their problems onto other people. And the psychic would believe them. She would believe the problems of her clients were due to other people.
Please Kill My Neighbor
And those other people is who she targeted her negative spells. Those other people she’d never met. Those other people whose stories she never heard. Those other people whose lives she utterly ruined because she believed her clients too much.
She realized her mistake, but far, far too late. By the time she realized she’d likely ruined the lives of countless innocent people, it was too late. But she made the same mistake her clients did. She blamed her clients, and not herself. And she directed her anger not to herself, where it belonged, but to the world in general.
And in a very short period of time, she became very mean, very vicious, very evil. She walked the streets seething in a quiet anger that was only expressed whenever she made eye contact with somebody. And sent a horrible spell their way, ruining their lives.
Black Cloud City
Soon all the business in town dried up. Factories closed down. People moved away. All that was left was a dark evil that hung over the town, daring anybody to challenge it.
After the spirit started to speak to us, one by one, I got the feeling she was speaking to me directly. Everybody was looking at me, and the spirit kept speaking to me for several minutes.
Pretty soon I realized the spirit entity was telling me a story. It was the same story I was reading in the book I got from the library when I got on the wrong bus. Pretty soon I couldn’t tell the difference between my memory of reading the book, and that present experience of that spirit entity telling me the same story from the book.
Next thing I knew, I was lying in bed. I don’t remember waking up, or a sort of don’t remember waking up. Sometimes you’ll have a dream. And the dream has something in it that is kind of uncomfortable. A kind of undefined stress or anxiety in the back of your mind.
And as you pass from the dream world to the waking world, that anxiety slowly evaporates. And it creates a kind of new anxiety. You are glad that it’s gone, but you’re also kind of upset that you can’t remember what it was. Which creates the same kind of anxiety.
The kind of vague, undefined anxiety that only exists in the back of your mind. That didn’t happen for me. I spent the next hour in a very thick fog of uncertainty and confusion. I didn’t remember if the book was from a dream or if it really happened. I couldn’t remember if anything else was from a dream or if it really happened.
Not Doing This Again
I did find the book though. But I was afraid to open it. Because that’s what started this whole series of confusing stories in the first place. A book about something, but reading it send my mind spinning in confusing circles. So I opened it only enough to make sure it was from the local library.
That’s where I’m going today, but part if me I might find somebody there waiting for me. I think she needs to tell me something important.
Mind Persuasion has plenty of books and courses to teach you how to speak hypnotically and persuasively.
