Software Expo
I went to a software expo nearby my house a couple weeks ago. It wasn’t really a software expo, more like a tech expo, but it was mainly software. Most of the software was for entrepreneurs, home business type people.
I saw this one booth that had a kind of interesting looking set of software. I walked up to find out what it was all about I saw this older woman talking to the guy there. I couldn’t help but overhear the questions this older woman was asking.
The questions she was asking were very very very insightful. Very deep and most of them she would ask them and the guy would have to think for a moment to make sure he understood the question. Then he would give a very very long and detailed answer.
Interesting Woman
It didn’t take long for me to become more interested in this woman than the software because of the quality of her questions. I asked her, I said are you some kind of a programer? You seem to know a lot more about the stuff most people. She seemed very very confident. She wasn’t shy or taken aback at the unasked for complement.
I asked her if she wanted to have a cup of coffee. I was very interested in finding out her back story. While we were getting our coffee and sitting down I realized that she had a very very confident, very calming kind of effect on somebody, on me.
It reminded me of if you are maybe at a party and you can imagine being by yourself and being a little anxious and looking around and not knowingly talk to and then seeing an old friend across the room. You go over and stand next to your old friend. As soon as you are standing next year old friend you feel more confident. You feel more comfortable. This is the kind of effect this woman had on me even though I didn’t know anything about her.
Psychology Student
She told me when she was very very young she wanted to get a degree in psychology and so she went to college and she started to study psychology. I’m guessing that was at least 40 years ago, but she said that after the first semester of studying psychology it turns out that she wasn’t really that interested in psychology. She was more interested in science.
She switched to engineering. One of her classes she took in engineering was programming way back when they were just starting teaching programming in college. I think the language was Fortran or it was C or something. It was one of the early programming languages. I’m not a programmer so I’m not really sure what the history of programming is.
She said her professor was a female, an older woman and her professor was very interesting in that she was a tenured professor. She had a lot of publications, but she insisted on teaching all of her classes herself.
She was very proactive in finding any females who were interested in science and making sure that they pursued that career with as much motivation and determination as they could. In order to kind of enhance that she would host these professor student dinner parties.
Cool Kid Parties
In the first couple of weeks, it was kind of a mostly kids who wanted to hang out with professor. That’s like a cool thing to do, but after a couple of weeks, it kind of whittled down to just the core group of students who were actually interested in learning.
She had very carefully engineered this group of people so that ended up being only females. She had a reason for doing that, but she had a very carefully and covertly engineered this so she would end up with just a group of her, the female professor and her female students, which at the time there was only three.
The reason she did this was because once she had a group of females she revealed who she really was. She was a professor, she was an actual professor with published papers. But she was also a member of this ancient order of priestesses.
Ancient And Unknown Order
It was is very unknown order that nobody knows about. The reason nobody knows about it is because they maintain everything through an only oral tradition. They don’t have any documents. They don’t write anything down. They don’t keep any records. They don’t even have a name for themselves. It’s just an ancient order of priestesses that have been around for thousands of years.
They transfer all of their knowledge only through oral tradition. Only through one-on-one conversations. What they do as their base, kind of on a few simple ideas. One, they always need to stay abreast of the most up-to-date technical knowledge. Their main driving force is to foster the strongest sense of self-determination of their members.
There’s another collection of ideas and almost technology that is only available from within this ancient order. It’s very very powerful is a common mix between metaphysics and business and communication. It’s not like magic. It’s not anything technical.
Three Core Ideas
When you combine these three ideas, this oral tradition, this self-determination, this always staying abreast of current technology, and this kind of mix of metaphysical business communication ideas it can create a lot of power for their members.
The only stipulation is that they can’t use their knowledge and power to get actual personal social status power. Not because it’s forbidden, but because of that you get social status that will actually destroy your self-determination.
As humans, if we have more than a certain amount of social status that will become our prime directive to get more social status and that will override any ideas we have about our own self-determination.
Multi-Millionaire
After meeting this woman, this woman I was talking to when she was young, decided to pursue a career in programming. She has always been on the cutting edge of programming for the past 40 years.
She’s made millions and millions of dollars. She’s helped to found a lot of very famous companies. But she was always very very careful to keep her name out of the public. She’s very very careful to not gain any kind of social status any public power or any kind of public recognition because it will destroy her sense of self-determination.
The Cycle Continues
She is now at the level that this professor was 40-50 years ago. Now she kind of goes to these places and she does everything she can to meet people, young females, young females that are interested in tech and science. Young females that she thinks are worthy to be induced or brought into this ancient order of priestesses.
