Attractive Neighbor
I have this really attractive really intelligent next-door neighbor I’ve never seen her with anybody and I’ve never asked her out myself because a long time ago I made the huge mistake of dating somebody that I lived very close to and I vowed never to make that mistake again.
One day we were both leaving at the same time and she invited me to come with her to see this lecture at her college. I thought that was a strange thing and so I said is there somebody special coming to speak.
She said yes there is there’s a guest lecture coming in and he’s a very famous anthropologist. He’s really really interesting. I read a lot of his books you should come check it out. I asked her if it was okay for a non-student, and she said yes so I went with her.
Everybody Has Laptops
The first thing I noticed was that all of the students had their laptops out and I asked my neighbor if people were using their laptops to film the lecture and she said yes unfortunately.
Then the guy came in and started talking. I looked around and I noticed that I was the only one in the room they didn’t have a laptop. This lecture was about the one thing that made humans different from every other animal. The title of his lecture was the human spirit and human evolution and why the human spirit led to humans conquering the planet.
I guess he’s written a lot of books on this idea of what the human spirit is in his idea was basically that the one thing that humans had was we were able to use our large brains.
Big Brained Apes
When we started to get our very very large brains the idea was that we needed very very large brains to process all of the visual data hitting our eyeballs but one thing that we developed that other animals don’t have is not only can we use our large brains to process individual images coming into our eyeballs we can use our large brains to create imaginary visual images and see them just as if they were real and treat them just as if they are real.
We had this kind of unending desire to look at these imaginary images that were created with our large processor brain so we want to cooperate to take these imagine ideas and make them real.
One thing that humans started to do a long time ago, they started to look out into the world and they would compare what they saw in the world to these hallucinated ideas in mind and they always wanted the hallucinate is in mind more than they wanted the stuff that existed in the world and this is what drove humans to come up with all of these inventions.
Symbolic Language
The one other thing that makes human so unique as we have this symbolic language we can use words and ideas and those words and ideas can represent these huge complicated abstract hallucinated thoughts and because we can transmit cause we can use these this abstract language this symbolic language we can use that to transfer these hallucinated ideas from one brain to another.
Even across generations once we learned about writing. That is something that animals can’t do. You have this capacity to transmit this hallucination from person-to-person.
You have this capacity to maintain this group with this hallucination from generation to generation when you realize that compelling ideas can lead to growing creativity you can grow your creativity as large as you like.
Friend In The Library
I was talking to a friend of mind the other day in the library and he looked at me and said sometimes when you go to the library and he opened up the library books some of the characters will start talking to you and telling you ideas you can’t find those very same books.
Everyone that is practicing hallucinating in a careful discrete deliberate way finds out that there’s ways you can look inside your own brain your own hallucination and use that idea to become even more creative and the more you decide to become very very creative you can learn the secret of turning those hallucinations into reality.
That’s essentially something that humans have been doing since the dawn of time since humans became humans. You can turn your thoughts into real things and that’s essentially what inventions are. And it’s not just about turning your imaginations into real things it’s about coming up with group hallucinations and forming partnerships with other people to turn those group hallucinations and real things and that is what can make you billions of dollars.
Your Intellect And Curiosity
It is your intellect and curiosity that will help you to think about this and the more you think about this some more you dream about this the more that the more you learn that your daydreaming capacity is the same capacity that caused humans to travel around the world and are now dreaming about traveling out space.
Every time you daydream you can remember this idea and use that to create even more daydreams bigger and brighter than you had before. Imagine if you had learned this earlier. Imagine if you had learned this secret back in high school. Imagine the things you could’ve created by now.
After the guy finished his lecture and everyone was kind of packing up the laptops we were walking to a coffee shop and I asked her why she said unfortunately when she referred to everyone using a laptops to record the lecture.
Laptops Make Lazy People
She explained that people come to the class with their laptops they record every lecture and because they’re recording the lecture they don’t think they need to pay attention to the lecture which means they’re essentially getting the same result as if they would be studying from a lecture online.
They don’t really need to go to class and so they’re spending this extra money to be on campus to interact with the professor but they’re just recording it and not interacting so not really getting this money’s worth.
After we went to the coffee shop after I talked to this woman this lady my neighbor for your few minutes I realized that she wanted to be a PhD or she is getting her PhD and her dream is to become an anthropologist herself and that’s why she doesn’t date anybody.
Don’t Want To Fall In Love
She’s afraid if she dated somebody she might fall in love and change her mind and not become an anthropologist and so she wants to be true to her own dreams she wants to be true to her own hallucination about her future she was to focus on that future as much as she can.
She knows that the more you focus on your hallucinated future the more likely that hallucinated the future will come true.
