Ex Non Girlfriend
A couple of years ago there was this girl that I was really interested in.
She went to my church and so I was trying to do anything I could to get together with her.
She invited me to come with her one evening to help feed the homeless at a local homeless center that was government sanctioned government licensed government approved. I guess these days you have to have a special license to be able to feed the homeless.
I figured out a great place to get in with her. I noticed after a couple of weeks that there’s basically three kinds of homeless people you meet if you go volunteer at a place to feed the homeless.
Beyond Our Control
The first group of people are the people that have just an unfortunate confluence of events beyond their control that put them in a bad place where they have to live on the streets and in and get food from other people and there’s really nothing they can do.
The second group of people are the people that have some type of substance abuse problems. These people are in a very very bad way because even if you have a regular job and regular house if you go down the path of substance abuse there is not usually a happy ending.
The third group of people as a people I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about them. They seem to be very cognizant they seem to be very open and aware and clear and they have the most interesting stories these are the people that you could just listen to them talk forever because apparently they have so much time to think of all these crazy stories to tell people.
Different Guy
This one guy I was talking to for a while and seem to be very very different from everybody else. He seemed very very clearheaded. His eyes were clear. He didn’t even smell that bad. He was always wearing nice clothes so I kind of asked why are you supposed to be here? You don’t seem like somebody that needs to come to a homeless shelter and get a free meal every night.
He said well I’ll tell you but if you promise, you’re not gonna believe it, but you have to promise that while I’m telling you this you have to at least pretend the you believe what I’m telling you this. It sounded like a strange thing to say so I said sure. I followed him and I was walking behind him down the street.
He was explaining to me that way back before humans discovered farming we were all nomads and the idea of owning something doesn’t exist in our instincts and the idea of property is a very recent development in modern times.
Money Is Misunderstood
The only reason we have a desire to own something is because were afraid of losing that thing. He gave me a metaphor of if you lived next to a huge river that was always flowing, it was always flowing with clean water, you wouldn’t feel the need to get a bunch of water, put it in bottles and then hide the bottle somewhere because this humongous river was always full of water. You would never feel a need to take some water for your own.
He said money is like this. He said in modern society money is flowing everywhere like a gigantic river and the idea of buying stuff with money and keeping stuff of money and hoarding stuff you can buy with money represents a misunderstanding of the true nature of money.
He said watch this, and I followed him inside of the liquor store. He looked underneath the counter and he spent about a minute choosing from all of the scratch off lottery tickets. He chose one. The guy tore off and he gave it to me. I scratched it off and it was an instant winner for $2000.
Easy Money Flow
The guy behind the cash register gave the cash the homeless guy who went outside and he immediately gave away the cash.
He did this for six more times at six liquor stores and this took about three or four hours. He said now do you believe me? He said when you understand the secret of money you can get money anywhere everywhere you want to and once you understand this you don’t need money you can do anything you want.
When I got back to serving homeless was this guy explaining to me that the whole entire homeless issue is a gigantic government scam. That there is this homeless industrial complex and the more money the government spends on homeless the more homeless people they create.
Middle Man Messes It Up
This is because there is always intermediary entities and in organizations and churches that actually actively create homelessness because for more homeless the more money they can get from the government.
After I left, I saw this guy a couple of times around town. I saw him once selling hotdogs. I saw him once wearing a government uniform sweeping up leaves in the park, the same guy that was able to tap into the invisible stream of money.
I finally asked the girl out and she said oh no we can only be friends I thought you knew that. I was a little bit upset because I was pretty sure she was kind of purposely leading me on to help her feed the homeless.
Everybody’s Got An Angle
Now I’m very very confused about everything because it seems that everything that the authorities tell us is not even close to what’s really happening.
