Accidental Science
Rubber was accidentally invented at least twice.
First by the Aztecs, who perhaps accidentally mixed two chemicals from two plants.
According to the Aztecs, they mixed the blood of one plant with the semen of another plant.
Animals Training Animals
Humans aren’t the only animals to domesticate other animals.
The relationship between ants and aphids is very similar to the relationship between humans and cattle.
One species uses the other for work and for food and in exchange, keeps them safe and protected from predators.
Digesting Milk
One critical benefit of natural selection that happened after the invention of agriculture and before the invention of large state run societies is the ability to digest milk.
This allowed for a third way to extract food from the environment.
People that benefited the most were pastoralists, who could live off the milk of their animals, who, in turn, could live anywhere grass would grow.
Higher Order Animal Trainers
There is theory that humans are not at the top of the food chain.
That very much like ants and aphids, humans and cattle, we are always being purposely bread and taken care of for our energy production.
But the higher level organisms that are breeding humans for energy use are likely not visible to our human eyes.
Just like aphids and cattle are specifically bread for their work and energy productivity, so our humans.
Bred For Energy Production
The theory is that advanced extra terrestrials seeded the Earth millions of years ago like they did all other life supporting planets.
And they genetically engineered us so we specifically cannot discern most of the energy or matter in the universe.
Very much like humans put blinders on work horses, these advanced extra terrestrials have put blinders on our perception.
Can’t See Much
This is why can only perceive about ten percent of the matter and energy in the universe.
Very much like a work horse can only perceive about ten percent of the actual visual field.
This is perhaps why there are so many inefficiencies in energy production.
For example, coal is burned in power plants to create steam which spins turbines.
Energy Loss Everywhere
This produces electricity, which is then transported long distances over power lines.
But every step of the way, there is a significant amount of energy loss.
This theory explains exactly where this energy loss is going.
There are also theories that energy loss happens at a mental level as well.
Memory Loss Everywhere
Which is why we can lose a train of thought.
You might be thinking about something, and then suddenly forget what you were thinking.
You might get up and go into another room, only to find yourself standing and forgetting what you came here for.
You might find yourself in the middle of a conversation, only to suddenly forget what you were about to say.
All these inefficiencies in energy might be explained by this theory.
Silk Road Origins
The silk road happened twice on the Eurasian continent.
Agricultural based cities interspersed with nomadic pastoralists.
You’ll find many examples of co-evolution.
Primates and fruit, bees and flowers, humans and domesticated animals, even humans and humans.
Aztecs and Goodyear
Since the Aztecs didn’t have a system of writing, at least one that was easily decipherable, once their population fell, so did their chemical for rubber.
It was later re-discovered, allegedly by accident, by Charles Goodyear.
It seems that most things are discovered by accident.
Many accidental discoveries aren’t utilized for decades, since they aren’t understood.
Others are forgotten, which is the same as not having discovered this at all.
