End Of Stone Age
The stone age ended when ancient humans figured out how to smelt ore, get the metal out and make tools and weapons.
They’ve found very intricately decorated bowls in some of the oldest mines.
They suspect it’s the humans giving gifts to the gods of the Earth in exchange for taking the ore.
Humans have been humans for 50,000 to 100,000 years. Which means we’ve had the same brains and the same language capabilities for that long.
Ancient Storytellers
This means that for at least 40,000 years before they invented agriculture, they talked and thought about the same stuff we do.
One thing that they did to pass the time was tell stories based on the stars.
The noticed how the stars kept moving around up in the sky, and it represented a completely different world.
Stars and People
The star configurations became people, and the people became archetypes and the archetypes combined together into proto-myths.
Linguists tell us that when we use intangible nouns, we need to use them as if they were real nouns.
We can tell the type of nouns they are by the preposition used with them.
For example, if you say you are in a meeting, the word “in” indicated that we think of meeting like it’s a container.
I’m In A Hallucination
Meeting, of course, doesn’t exist. There the chairs and tables and people but the meeting is a temporary and shared hallucination.
They say that when we use tools, we think of them as companions.
I cut the bread with a knife.
I went to the mall with my friend.
We also tend to anthropomorphize things like cars. For example, if you’ve had a car for a long time, and you’ve had some good times in the car, you’ll naturally feel sad when you get rid of it.
I’ll Miss That House
We do the same with houses and neighborhoods. We think of them similar to human companions whom we’ll miss when they are gone.
Napoleon Hill famously created his own imaginary mastermind group.
Once a week he would meet with Lincoln, Washington and Edison.
They would meet and talk for an hour.
You can do the same thing, for the same purpose.
Imaginary Helpers
Think of a skill or situation in which you’d like help.
Then create your own mastermind group of whomever you want.
Practice talking to them, and really build them up in your mind.
They will not only give you useful advice when you need it, but they will also give you social proof.
Angelic Helpers
If you create a group of angelic helpers, for example, and build up the strength of their presence, your body language will radiate real social proof.
Others will see this real social proof.
And your own custom group of guardian angels will give you real advice.
Even being able to read the minds of others so you’ll know exactly what to tell them and in what situations.
On The Vehicle
It’s interesting how we use prepositions with any kind of traveling vehicle.
Since our ancient brains still think of traveling as riding on an animal, we use the word “on” when talking about traveling.
I’m on the bus, on the plane, on the train, on the way.
The only outlier is in your car.
Because our car more like a personal space than a vehicle.
Like sleeping in your car, or living in your car.
Ancient Role Models
A powerful way that anthropomorphized archetypes helped ancient humans was as role models.
If you were a young hunter, and you suddenly had to face wooly mammoth on your own, you would actually believe that the ancient gods were with you, and were helping you.
This means you can leverage this instinct today.
Custom Made Crew
To create your own custom made gods and goddesses to help you when you need it.
To give you the social proof and confidence you need.
So you can become much more socially powerful and charismatic.
