Acting Class Recommendations
A long time ago I took an acting class. It was recommended to me by a woman that was in my Toastmasters class. She said it was a very good way to help to increase your capabilities of expression.
Public speaking has a certain level of skills. If you can combine the skills from public speaking with the skills you learned by taking an acting class you can be much more persuasive. In acting class the teacher exercises so that you can absolutely obliterate your comfort zone.
When you can obliterate your comfort zone you can be much much more expressive. It turns out that your level of expression, your level of confidence with which you express yourself is directly related to how much people perceive your charisma.
Increase Charisma
If you speak with a lot of charisma, you can be extremely persuasive. So she recommended going to acting class so that you can absolutely obliterate your comfort zone. This class met every Saturday. It was four hours and there were a whole bunch of different people taking this class.
Some were actual actors and were taking it for their work. There’re were a few attorneys that were taking acting class to help them be better arguers in front of juries. Some people like me, they were just doing it just for fun. There were a couple of younger people but mostly middle-aged and older people.
The first two hours of class we just did all of these crazy exercises to help us to obliterate the comfort zone. To be more expressive. This was a lot of fun at first it was kind of scary because it was a whole bunch of people there but after the first class it was like being a kid on the playground and just playing and having fun.
Friendly Lady
There was this one woman there that was really friendly. She had a lot of natural energy. She had a party one weekend. She invited everybody in the acting class to come to the party. So I went to the party. I showed up at a very very expensive house in a very very expensive neighborhood.
The first thing I noticed was that at this party most of the people there were women. It didn’t seem weird. It didn’t seem like there was a specific reason why there was only woman there. No one really looked at me as a guy when I walked in, like there’re no men allowed. It just happened to be that there was a bunch of women there. No one acted any differently towards me.
There wasn’t any kind of weird energy. I spent the time wandering around the first hour wandering around talking to people. I didn’t see any pictures of any husbands or children of this woman from the acting class. I was kind of curious about why or how she got all this money, or what her back story was how she got such an expensive house. She never really shared very much about herself during acting class.
Refurbished Basement
She had this basement, it was technically a basement, she had redone so it looked like a completely separate living room like the one she had upstairs. When I went down there, there was a woman sitting in the middle behind a coffee table. She was getting ready to do a tarot card reading.
She had the cards stacked up in front of her and a woman that she was doing a reading for had just sat down across from her. The woman explain her process. She said the question ask her all you have to do is close your eyes and focus on your question. When you close your eyes and focus on your question you will radiate that question energy.
What I will do is I will close my eyes and I will focus on your question and I will let your question energy guide me as I shuffle these cards. This will take about 10 or 15 minutes, and once I feel like I have discerned the answer I will slowly deal the cards out with my eyes closed, with your eyes closed and then we will both open our eyes and we will both immediately understand the answer.
Questions and Answers
She said this very clearly, very kindly, and so the question asker, which was a woman in her mid-20s, nodded. All the people standing around kind of nodded as if they were kind of participating. That’s what she did. The question asker closed her eyes the tarot card reader closed her eyes and slowly started to shuffle the deck.
This took about 20 minutes of her just slowly shuffling and I guess she was spending her time reading the energy from the question asker and she was letting that energy flow through her body and she was letting her subconscious direct how she shuffled the cards. When she was ready, she dealt the cards face up and then she sat there with the cards dealt face of her eyes closed the question asker’s eyes were closed.
She said okay and they both opened their eyes at the same time. Then the strangest thing happened. They both had this extreme look of relief wash over their faces, but neither of them looked at the actual tarot cards. Then they sat there like that silently looking at each other almost as if they were kind of transmitting energy from one person to another.
Telepathic Transmission
The question asker’s face seemed to take on a few question energy settings, question energy facial expressions, and then the tarot card reader kind of look at her calmly and then the question asker would look as if she had just received the answer. She started to flush, her eyes teared up and she smiled and said thank you. She just sat there and we sat there in the tarot card reader sat there and was a very powerful sense of energy.
It was like this massive psychic connection between everybody in the basement. There was just a ton of information flowing back and forth between the tarot card reader and the question asker. We sat there for like 20 minutes or they sat there for 20 minutes the rest of us were just kind of standing around looking at them for like 20 minutes. The feeling was one of absolute complete contentment and peace.
The only thing that it seemed even close to was you wake up on a Saturday morning or a morning that you don’t have to go to work. You wake up about half an hour before you plan to get up and you don’t really feel sleepy so you don’t really want to go back to sleep, but there’s no reason to get out of bed yet so you just lay there in bed and let your mind wander.
Nothing To Do But Imagine
You’re in that wonderful space. You don’t need to do anything. Your mind is just thinking of all these wonderful ideas. You’re thinking of all these fantastic things you could do. That’s about the closest I can explain how that felt.
After about 20 minutes we slowly kinda drifted apart. I went back upstairs. I started asking some of the women at the party how they knew this woman from the acting class and they all gave the same answer.
They all said that they knew her through a third-party that wasn’t at the party. I said how do you know this woman? She said all I know her through this other person. I said who’s this other person? They all said all she couldn’t make it tonight. Every single person I asked had that same answer, but a different third-party that they knew this woman from the acting class from that wasn’t there tonight.
Lingering Questions
A strange thing was that before the tarot card reading, I had the sense of curiosity about why this woman had all this money, why most of her friends were only females, and I felt a really strong need to solve that question. To solve that curiosity. But after the tarot card reading it seemed I was completely content to just have an unanswered question in my mind.
As if having an unanswered question in my mind, being content, being open, made me much more perceptive to everybody. So even when I would ask these questions and I wouldn’t get a clear answer, that was completely okay. I seemed to be completely content to have an unanswered question in my mind. and
When I went back to acting class next week, I noticed a woman that I hadn’t noticed before, but she was downstairs around the tarot card reading. When I looked at her and she looked at me it was almost as if we had a 10 minute conversation in the blink of an eye.
Telepathic Transmission
We only exchanged a quick look, but it was in that look we exchange a lot of information. I felt that I suddenly remembered her I felt like I had a conversation with her. I felt like that I knew a lot about her. It only took a brief glance and I seemed to share that feeling a lot with a lot of other people that acting class.
Before, I was very curious about this woman. About why she was so charismatic. Why she was a wealthy. Why she was so friendly with everybody. Why she was so pleasant and calming to be around. But after the party I was completely content to have several unanswered questions in my mind.
