So There Were Three Girls
There’s a restaurant that I like going to because I enjoy having conversations with the waitress. She’s married, she has two children. As far as I know she’s happily married her husband is an engineer of some sort.
She’s very friendly, she’s very outgoing and she is very intelligent so talking to her while I eat my meal slowly is a very enjoyable experience. I go there during the off hours an hour or two after the main lunch rush.
The other day I was in there and it was just me and three other girls. The three girls were sitting together on the other side of the restaurant and they were having a very very lively very happy very enjoyable conversation. I couldn’t hear what they were talking about but they were smiling and laughing in their eyes were big with excitement.
I noticed that this waitress was looking at with the sense of desire, a sense, a kind of longing and I wasn’t quite sure and I could sort of tell that she kind of wished she was part of the conversation or maybe she just noticed that these were young girls and she was kind of remembering what it was like to be young and full of excitement about the future.
What Was Up With That?
I waited till the girls left when she came over I kind of motioned over to the three girls were they were sitting I said what was that about and she kind of tilted her head like she was thinking about whether or not she should tell me.
She said those three girls had just come back from having a psychic reading and they all took turns in the woman that gave them their psychic reading all told them about their future and their all excited about their future husbands and their future jobs in their future careers in your future travel plans.
I said, “oh, that’s cool, have you ever done something like that?” Meaning have you ever gone to a psychic and got your reading and then she should kind of tilted her head again and she was about to say something and it seemed like her answer was going to be to a different question and so I looked at her kind of like well tell me, come on, sit down, don’t be shy.
She sat down across from me and said when I was a young child I realized that I had that gift. At one I time wanted to be a psychic because when I was very young I realized that I could sense things before they’re going to happen.
I Can Read Minds
I could know what people were thinking before they said things. I even kept a journal about what I thought would happen in the next couple of days and many of those things came true. I asked her what she did about it and she said that she tried telling her friends because she was very young when she realized this about herself but she didn’t really know if it was just her this was some kind of a normal thing.
She tried to talk to her mother about it and her mother told her she was speaking nonsense. She tried to share this with her friends and her friends told her that she was crazy.
She finally thought maybe she was crazy and even though she was writing down things in her journal and these things were coming true that maybe she was just imagining all of these things.
Her grandmother took her somewhere and they went on some kind of long daytrip and her grandmother told her that she too had the same skill that she too could sense things. Her grandmother told her her own story when she was very very young and this was a long long time ago this was long before the women’s rights movement.
Back In The Dark Times
This was long before most women even thought it was possible to go to college and have a career and it was expected that women would just get a husband and the homemaker.
Her grandmother had the same kind of experience when she was young she knew that she can sense things she knew that she could predict events she knew that she could understand what people were thinking before they talked about what they were thinking but she also knew that if she told anybody she would get in serious trouble because this was back when a lot of people were very strong Christians.
If you told strong Christians that you could read people’s minds and predict the future they would brand you a witch. So she carefully cultivated this skill over time.
The Ultimate Entrepreneur
She ended up helping, being an assistant to a lot of shopkeepers in town and because she very carefully and slowly used her skills to help the business of the shopkeepers she was able to share her skills with the shopkeepers so that they would allow her to kind of operate on the sly.
She had her own kind of thriving business that was almost like a black market psychic and you had to have a referral from customers. You had to establish a certain amount of trust to see her and she did this for decades she would help people in town.
A lot of the women would come to her and asked her about financial advice from their families and their husbands and she would give a lot of people a lot of very useful advice but as she advised this waitress when she was young that times are much different now things were very simple back then.
I don’t think the same thing would work today because it’s different today even as a young child, there is that there are many many people out there that pretend to be like this they pretend to have skills.
Fakers Get Paid More Than The Real Thing
One of the drawbacks of this type of skill being more mainstream is many many people that are fakers and pretenders and charlatans and so all I can advise you is to be very careful who you share these skills with be very careful who you tell the skills to.
How you deal with this will be different than how I dealt with this because the times you live in are very different from the times that I lived in. I asked her what she did and she told me she made a couple of not mistakes but she made a couple of decisions that turned out to cause for a little bit of emotional damage.
A couple of times she said she helped people to avoid negative consequences by sharing with them her ideas about what would happen in the future and some people were grateful for her help but other people unexpectedly connected her with those outcomes in the future.
You Know So You Caused It
Their logic was because she could predict these negative outcomes that she was somehow the one causing these negative outcomes. Even her closest friends that she help avoid negative outcomes started to look at her with mistrust and suspicion and that hurt her very much.
So she made a hard decision to just keep this skill to herself and she told me she doesn’t regret doing that she told me she thinks that was the right decision because she has a very very happy life she loves her family very much.
She just when she was looking at those three girls he was kind of imagining what might have been like to have been born in a different time and she told me that she was almost certain that the psychic that these three girls went to see was not really an honest psychic.
She said that most people that make a living as psychics today aren’t really able to predict the future what they really do is tell people what they want to hear. They tell people that the future is going to be all right. They tell people that they will fall in love. They tell people that they will have a successful career.
Not My Place To Judge
Whether or not this is right or wrong is only between the buyer and the seller but she says in today’s world it is very very difficult to have that skill and know what to do about it because not only are there so many fake psychics that are actually making a much better living than actual psychics.
The future now compared to the future two or three generations ago is so much more complicated it’s almost impossible to see the future because there are so many things happening right now and she kind of gave me a warning.
She says is much better especially these days is much better to not know the future because the future is so difficult to predict now versus hundred years ago or 50 years ago. It’s much better to just live in the present and accept everything that comes knowing that you will be able to handle it.
Stay Focused On What You Know
Because if you try to predict the future, the inaccuracy will be so high they will almost always cause more pain than good.
She strongly recommended that I just forget about trying to predict the future and just accept things as they come.
